After quite a bit of searching on line, I kept coming back to The Retreat, as it really stood out. It was exactly as it looks on the listing, smart, stylish, spacious and with everything you could possibly need if you were living there. Your basic holiday rental it definitely was not. The views on all sides were beautiful, the large bed comfortable, a great outdoor terrace with huge table, and the addition of being able to use the pool at the lovely hotel so close was absolutely perfect. It felt like a really luxurious spa break, though slightly removed and entirely peaceful. Incredible attention to detail and care for their guests.

Extraordinary Barn Loft at Farm Sanctuary SA

Can't recommend this property enough! The pictures don't do the space enough justice and was an amazing oasis during our stay. The views of the mountains were stunning. Loved the amenities for the barn loft from the private hot tub, luxurious back, fireplace, sauna, sundowner bed, spacious deck, and being near all of the farm animals. We will definitely plan to stay again in the future. Courtney was a great host and helped us with our stay and anything we needed. We can thank her enough for maybe our stay more enjoyable. Just a couple practical things is that it is about 15 min walk to the wine tram station and also restaurants for dinner. We found the walk to be very safe. The stairs to access the barn loft are a spiral staircase so if you have mobility problems it could be a challenge. As of Jan 2025, Pigcasso is on the pink line which is very convenient after you are finished with the wine tours to just get off at Pigcasso for your stay

Erika's place is situated along the road up Bain's Kloof pass. It is an ideal base to explore the pass by bike (also other off-road routes in the area). Although it is right on the road side, it feels secure and there is hardly any traffic noise. The place is spacious and Erika is a great host. Highly recommended, especially for people who are keen to cycle.

We loved our stay at Polly’s! It was the most beautiful scenery to wake up to & to sit outside in the evening. It was a great location close to the main street & walkable. The beds were very comfortable & the place was actually bigger than I had expected. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous, comfortable, quiet stay in Franschhoek.

Fabulous place, right in the heart of Franschoek, close to the Wine Tram. Very warmly welcomed by hosts. Definitely the best breakfast we've had in years - and on the patio overlooking the lovely garden with swimming pool. The room was extremely comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Can strongly recommend.

Value for money kindest people to stay with . Breakfast is great 👍 Bug rooms with very soft beds amazing to tell the truth . Will be back . Was a good stop over on our bike tour around the area . Dinner at Bourbons is a good one as well if you looking for food .
