Situated outside of the delightful township of Motueka we have built this tiny retreat and are super excited to be able to offer this unique accommodation experience to others. Welcome to Hairy Hobbit Cottage, nestled in the Brooklyn Valley hills near Motueka, Nelson, New Zealand. Hairy Hobbit is a modern self contained holiday cottage offering peaceful accommodation in 70 acres of native bush, bursting with birdlife and fantastic views across Tasman Bay. Ideal for day trips to Nelson or Golden Bay or to visit the huge scenery of the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks and Kaiteriteri beach.

Quiet and cosy Motueka

The master bedroom and en-suite in my home is set up as a private Airbnb room. It has its own car parking area, entrance door, and kitchenette. I live in the rest of the house. So its like staying in your own motel room but without that usual bland and touristy motel feeling.
