We do not charge any extra cleaning fees. Our home is quiet, away from the main busy part of Kaiteriteri but the tracks mean you are only minutes away from its world famous beaches. We are situated just 500m away from the start of the Kaiteriteri mountain bike park. Plenty of Parking. Contactless check in.

The Chooks nook, a home away from home. Tucked up in a quiet native garden surrounded by bird song and fruit trees for you to enjoy when in season, and of course our four cheeky chooks. Our seperate, private cottage sits on our 2,250sqm property, with the great taste trail right on our doorstep and the gateway to the Abel Tasman 15 minutes drive away. Welcome to Hairy Hobbit Cottage, nestled in the Brooklyn Valley hills near Motueka, Nelson, New Zealand. Hairy Hobbit is a modern self contained holiday cottage offering peaceful accommodation in 70 acres of native bush, bursting with birdlife and fantastic views across Tasman Bay. Ideal for day trips to Nelson or Golden Bay or to visit the huge scenery of the Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks and Kaiteriteri beach.

Cath and Al are kiwi locals having been born and brought up in this area and lived here all our lives. We are happy to give guests advice on where to visit and what to see. Our accommodation is located in a quiet peaceful location with bush and native birdsong on a ridge. There are breathtaking views across Sandy Bay, Marahau and Abel Tasman National Park from the apartment.
