Vacation rentals with beach access in River Hamble

Our host Beth was great, very proactive and extremely helpful. We stayed in the 'The coach house', which is a beautiful, serene retreat with breathtaking views. We highly recommend staying here If you are looking for a stunning, private and convenient base for your adventures on the Isle of Wight.

This is a beautiful flat in a great location with stunning sea views. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lots of great places to eat a short walk away from the property and beautiful coastal walks.

Excellent accommodation and exactly what we needed to be in the centre of Shanklin. Terry the owner was an excellent host and always contactable via email. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to the Isle of Wight.

Great views of beach with large doors opening up to a balcony so you can hear the waves. Perfect location. Great place, wonderful host. Will return someday. :)

Great, central area to stay. Understandably can be noisy outside due to being in town centre but it was still peaceful area to live in. Lee was very responsive, had clear instructions and provided nice tea/snacks. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at The Tides it lived up to everything it was portrayed to be. Melanie and Deborah were extremely helpful and everything was left in immaculate condition and extremely clean and tidy. Would definitely come back and recommend this to anyone who wants a lovely stay looking over the beach. Thankyou both for this lovely relaxing weekend. Jackie and Leigh.

Lovely apartment right by the seaside. A few steps and you're at the beach, and from there you can walk all the way to East Head (or take a 5 min drive to the West Wittering car park). Flat is great and well furnished, with everything we needed. Note that linen is an extra cost though! Karen is very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, fast responses and solved the one issue that came up quickly.

From the communication, to the quality of the accommodation & amenities to the welcoming touches with Prosecco & snacks, your thoughtfulness just made our holiday perfect!! The decor was bright, modern & beautiful; the house and furniture was spotless and the house had everything you would need for a weekend getaway. We were 9 people and a dog and there was ample room for everyone. We couldn’t be happier. The only issue is that since this was our first Airbnb adventure, we’ve now got our bar set too high 😊 Thanks once again for allowing us a fabulous few days in Bournemouth in your beautiful house.

Travelled to Island for my wife’s aunts 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary celebrations. House was just as described, clean, spacious, comfortable and ideally located for seafront and high street. Extremely well equipped kitchen plus welcoming items including sourdough , butter, preservatives , milk, orange juice and shortbread. Spacious lounge with planting of seating. My wife and daughter loved the soaps, shower gels and fresh smells in the bathrooms. I thoroughly recommend this property and would re book if returning to the Island Tips: Grab the double room on 3rd floor if you prefer medium to soft mattress and watching tv in bed! We felt the middle bedroom mattresses were a bit on the hard side for us personally but this would not stop me from rating this property 10/10.

Stunning location. They say location is everything and this proved that tenfold! The property is less than a minute to the beach and the difference it made to my holiday was priceless. I didn't have to drive anywhere. I could get up and just be moments from the beach first thing in a morning and then enjoy an evening stroll knowing I was minutes away from being back at the property. I hardly needed shoes! The property itself was so comfy and clean and private. Lovely private garden, such a comfy sofa and bed and the whole place was absolutely perfect. I needed a very peaceful, relaxing holiday and I certainly got it. I was quite surprised at how peaceful it was, considering how busy the beach can be, but it really wasn't noisy and at night it was so peaceful. Just being able to walk out of the door and be at the beach without walking miles with loads of stuff just made all the difference and I had one of the most relaxing, peaceful, tranquil holidays I have ever had. Awesome!

Had a lovely few days in Selsey House had everything we needed for 3 adults and 2 kids - very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is well kitted out too. Other pluses for us were the nearby playground and we loved the fish & chips shop and the fishmongers over the road. Lovely walks along the promenade and popped to West Wittering for a sandy beach day.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home on the Isle of Wight. The house is very new and in a great location — just a short walk to the beach! We stayed as a family with kids and our dog, and everyone had a fantastic time. The rooms were tidy, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The heating and WiFi worked perfectly. We’d definitely love to come back again next time!

This is indeed a stunning beachfront property. The living area is upstairs. It’s spacious and has great views overlooking the sea. One highlight is the quaint hidden bathroom upstairs where you can have a bath with a sea view! The property is well stocked with everything you may need for a comfortable stay. It has beautiful furnishings and paintings painted. We had a wonderful stay even when the weather did not hold up. Penelope is also a great host. She was very responsive to our needs and made us feel very much at home. This is a great place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it.

The house was immaculately clean. All the equipment and furnishings were really well looked after and of good quality. Lovely bedding etc. There was plenty of ‘nice to haves’ such as lots of games, water sports equipment and bits and bobs in the kitchen. Would recommend as a base for a large family or two medium sized families away together. We were a group of 12 women celebrating and we all had comfortable accommodation. The garden was really peaceful and pleasant - we had our lunch one day on the patio. It’s a great location for very easy access to the beach and some lovely walks.

Steven's apartment was truly great and as described. There was everything you needed for a home meal, and instructions were perfectly clear, which made our arrival and check out hassle free. Overall spotlessly clean. The location was a plus! Would definitely book again! :)

A fantastic spot to stay in for exploring Southsea and Portsmouth. It is a matter of minutes from the beach and the restaurants in Southsea - the location could not be better. The apartment was stunningly decorated, lovely and bright and airy and so warm. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

David and Liz were incredibly helpful from the initial booking through to when we had left their property. They even posted a charger that we left behind which was incredibly thoughtful! Nothing was too much bother and nice touches such as a couple of beers and bottle of Prosecco in the fridge make all the difference. The property itself is a fantastic location and within easy reach of the beach and shops. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Spacious three bedroom 2nd floor appartment. Lift located next to appartment front door. One parking space which can be seen from living room window. Lots of extras in appartment- eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet roll, hand soap etc which was a great addition. Further free parking around the corner on Derby Road. 10 min walk to Boscombe beach. Would thoroughly recommend and look forward to a return trip

Exactly as described and as shown on the photos! Super convenient and cosy and the hosts were really welcoming. I felt at home instantly. The location is perfect, everything is so close, there’s the train and bus stations, restaurants, shops and more. I a 100% recommend staying there 😊!

Absolutely amazing stay at Samantha's place! Communication was excellent from start to finish. The flat is truly beautiful - the photos don't do justice to how spacious and open the main rooms actually are. The location couldn't be better - just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to the New Forest. We were able to explore so many beautiful sights all within easy reach. The beds were very comfortable and all appliances were new and worked perfectly. We hope to return again soon!

This was our first visit to the Isle of Wight and Katie's lovely apartment was the perfect base for exploring the island. It is comfortable, homely and clean with a small private garden, off road parking and is only a short walk to the beach and local amenities. We visited as a couple but it would also be ideal for a young family. We would happily stay here again. Thanks Katie!

We had a wonderful stay at The Turret Apartment. The check in was smooth and it was a huge bonus that we were allowed an early check in. Louis was always super helpful in his communication. The apartment was clean and modern which we loved. Our kids were obsessed with their bedroom! The kitchen was small but had everything we needed as we did cook and eat in a few evenings. The apartment was in a great location as we could walk to the beach. We spent a whole day down there which was wonderful. We ate at Flamingos which is a 3 minute walk from the apartment. We would highly recommend - the food was delicious! We also walked along the beach to Bournemouth one evening to eat at The Stables - incredible pizza! It took us about 40 minutes to walk (with kids!) which we thought was great. Also went to Boscanova (walking distance again!) for breakfast - amazing! The apartment was also close to Moors Valley which we enjoyed. We would definitely recommend this place for families!
