Vacation rentals with a home theater in River Great Ouse

Mac was always quick to respond to queries and, when we had a problem with a beeping carbon monoxide alarm, sent someone round to look at it on the evening of our arrival. Everything was spotless and as described. We had an enjoyable stay, helped by particularly good weather, and our small grandsons really enjoyed the hot tub. It was an easy trip into the centre of Cambridge both by taxi and on the bus which runs every 10 minutes from stop 15 minutes walk away. There was a pleasant field where we walked our dogs only 5 minutes walk away. Thank you.

We had a great stay. The bedrooms were a good size, comfortable and clean, and the house was lovely and warm. Bathrooms were modern and very clean. The kitchen and appliances were in very good order. We were only six so had plenty of room downstairs but there is only space to seat six at table (as is clear from the listing) and soft seating in the cinema room for about four more. Communication was excellent.

What can I say… quite honestly the most beautiful home we’ve stayed in (and we’ve stayed in many). The house was absolutely stunning with amazing views. The host was very attentive and gave plenty of recommendations. We stayed for New Year’s Eve and saw in 2025 with our family. Our 3 girls loved exploring the garden, toys and a particular shout out for the games room. Had a pleasant surprise when we arrived to see the most gorgeous decking, accompanied by a hot tub and swim spa, a huge hit with the girls. Would definitely recommend. Thank you and happy new year!

Beautiful, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing apartment—perfect for a girls’ weekend! The two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it super comfortable, and the kitchen and living area were stunning. The host went above and beyond with thoughtful touches like chocolates, games, and room fragrances. Great central location, very safe with a Ring doorbell, and a lift for easy access. Smooth check-in/out, and the host was very responsive. We loved it and will definitely be back!

I booked this house for my daughter and her family - I live near but my small house isn't big enough now for my growing grandchildren. This house was perfect - beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and very comfortable with absolutely everything you could need. The location is ideal - easy walking distance of the lovely city of Ely, and close to the main routes to Cambridge, Suffolk and the Norfolk coast. Plus a five minute walk to a playground for the children. Good broadband and a quiet desk space for my daughter to do some remote working was very much appreciated. Malcolm is an excellent host - very welcoming and very responsive to questions. We would certainly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cambridgeshire, and are looking forward to a repeat visit some time in the future. The perfect stay for a larger group, everything was as described and very clean upon arrival, the location was ideal for our weekend plans and the host was very responsive leading up to and during our stay, which allowed us to plan well and have the best weekend. Well worth what we paid and would recommend for anyone looking to visit this area.

Highly recommend this beautiful shepherds hut. Lovely private setting and the host was fabulous and very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, gave some great recommendations for local pubs and restaurants (definitely worth a visit), also checked in to see if we needed anything which was a lovely touch, along with the goodie basket which was a lovely surprise.
