Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rio Arriba County

This space is somehow even more inviting and wonderful than the photos portray. It feels spacious but cozy and has so much character and vibe and I fell in love the moment I walked in! Jean and Steve are the ultimate hosts. Attentive and so friendly, but with plenty of space. There are touches throughout that covered every need I could think of for a beautiful Taos retreat. The claw foot tub with a gorgeous view is a highlight, but the bed is also luxurious and comfy with lots of pillows and covers. And getting to sit au naturel in a hot tub under the stars is very hard to beat. The location feels so secluded at the end of a dead end road, but easy access to everything around. I will definitely be returning!

This house was so cute. I didn’t want to leave. The neighborhood is incredible with health food store and yoga studio right next-door. The house is roomy and the yard is very open so I was able to lay out my wet camping gear to let it dry. I was able to do my laundry with the washer and dryer right there. And and the hot tub is conveniently located hot with good jets. I used it several times a day.

What a beautiful casita! We had the most wonderful few days at Tara and Jean Jacques place. It was perfect, from the hot tub with the peaceful and scenic views to the rain head shower, to the scones and fresh orange juice in the kitchen. After camping for a week this place was so luxurious and I’d love to come back. Walkable distance into town with an abundance of nature and privacy.

Leslie was responsive and her place was terrific. Great location, close to center of Taos, yet peaceful. Hot tub was worthwhile, too!

Lovely home near Taos Ski Valley that is exactly as described in the listing. The home is spacious and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and there were thoughtful touches throughout. The location is perfect for a quick drive to Taos Ski Valley and into town for dinner. We will definitely stay again our next trip out.

One of our favorite Air Bnbs! Beautiful house and gardens. We loved absolutely everything about this house. The location was close to town and also the ski valley to be able to do all the hikes we wanted to do. Beautiful scenery. Great restaurants. Medley right around the corner was fantastic. Would stay here again without a doubt!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Valdez Vista. The home is private, well appointed and has amazing views. Great location for day trips in the area and just a few minutes to downtown Taos. The hosts are great as well!

Kristin’s place was great and she is an excellent host. The house was totally comfortable - comfy bed, plenty of towels, good kitchen. The setting is spectacular, really beautiful views. The orientation of the house makes it feel like you are miles from anyone. We would definitely go back.

Truly incredible and unique place to stay. If you’re in the area you don’t want to miss this stay. It was only 15 minutes from Taos and yet very secluded and private. Given that it is an underground home made of adobe you can expect a bit of dust and a few friends with more than four legs. I will also say the shower ran out of hot water very quickly. Still would highly highly recommend.

Gorgeous spot on the river. Screened in porch is lovely. Great bird watching and star gazing. We felt very lucky to be there for the weekend.

I visited from Chicago for a a fairly long stay (~12 days), and it was a great experience! The living space was very cozy and had a very usable kitchen. The views of the mountains during the morning and evening were pretty great, and the location was far enough away from people to remain quiet while still being close enough to grab groceries on a whim. Plenty of outdoor activities to do in the nearby area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Earthship, after years of reading and watching lots of material on the subject. It was clean and comfortable, peaceful and serene, a great getaway with lots to do within a short drive. I hope you’re lucky enough to watch a good storm move through, the views are spectacular. Host was great, generally a fast response when I reached out. I would recommend a stay at this great house!

My family and I enjoyed the place very much. The home was perfect and the views were great ! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area for any reason was close to ski slopes and the Rio grand gorge hike had some amazing views . This is a truly wonderful spot right in the middle of all the best things to see and do in Taos. Jan was a super host with a very fast response time and made everything go extremely smooth! The outdoor hot tub was fantastic! We will look to stay again the next time we are in Taos.

WE love this little place and the complex. This is our second stay here. Convenient skiing, lots of shops in Taos, great music venues. good restaurants. What more could you want!

Everything you could want was available in this suites hotel resort atmosphere. All attractions were within walking distance. Perfect all around!

Condo was clean, well-appointed and perfectly adequate for a stay of a few days in Taos. It's more like a hotel room with a Murphy bed and kitchenette; however, it did appear to have been recently remodeled and updated. The resort has a game room, pool, communal kitchen, lounge area and laundry available for use. The location of the property is walking distance to the plaza, Kit Carson Park, and many other restaurants and attractions. The price seemed a bit high for the actual room, but it was a holiday week so I'm sure that had some bearing on the price.

We’ve stayed here several years in a row over Thanksgiving. It’s a great location-between Downtown Taos and Arroyo Seco (lots of good dining options there!). The property is exactly as described and Monica is always incredibly helpful and responsive. The property is also VERY well stocked. We were never lacking anything in the kitchen or bathrooms.

I have stayed at many different places in Taos. This is definitely the best for the money that I have ever stayed in very conveniently located very nice property the accommodations were fantastic
