Sitting pretty in a wild flower meadow surrounded by open fields, this barn conversion is countryside simplicity at its best: updated appliances and rustic furniture arranged for open-plan living to relax unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The barn is located in the meadow behind our thatched cottage. The space is entirely your own and is self catered with a well equipped open plan kitchen. We're on hand should you need any advice or assistance during your stay, though you'll have your own privacy and can interact as much or as little as you'd like. Enjoy pastoral tranquility here whilst being within an easy 10-minute reach of the medieval charm of Lavenham. Public footpaths are close by or venture further afield to admire the beautiful Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds. Once you arrive in the barn, there is a small collection of books about the surrounding area and county. We can of course recommend places to visit.

A 7.5 Kw EV charging point is available, with costs based on usage and electricity cost. In the pleasant village of Great Waldingfield, with a pub, village shop, and close to Sudbury (3 miles), Lavenham (4 miles), Bury St. Edmunds(16 miles). We live next door so are happy to help with directions and what to do in the area.

The Old Stables

On the Suffolk Essex border surrounded by fields, trees, and plenty of wildlife lies our old late 18th century stable building. Just 5 minutes off the A12 and you are in a different world. We live in the thatched Farm Cottage, the oldest part dating back to the 15th century and the stable is situated at the end of the drive. Excellent location for cycling (on the National Cycle Route 1), or visiting Jimmys Farm just 4.9 miles up the road. Walking is a must or just relax and unwind!

The Hayloft is a light, spacious, open-plan, self catering unit for two. A romantic countryside retreat within part of Deepwell Barn, a converted grade II listed thatched building. Lovely walks, bike rides and pubs nearby. Close to Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds and picturesque local villages. As well as a private enclosed garden, guests have use of the larger garden, with fire pit, hammock and BBQ, a lovely setting in which to unwind and enjoy the countryside.

An ideal high end night away with home comforts and style. We really enjoyed our night at Rosie's place. The layout and feeling was ideal for a couple and we were able to enjoy a relaxed breakfast using the hob (which tucks away into a drawer). Would definitely stay again.

Marion's apartment was perfect. Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Communication was exceptional and Marion and Graham went above and beyond as hosts. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Barn accommodation was a lovely place to stay. Lovely surroundings and a private garden to sit with a coffee. Also plenty of room and easy to park into our allocated space. A few miles from the A14 for connectivity, and close to a co-op. The accommodation also had everything we needed for a short break, including 2 TVs.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and located in a quiet area that's still very close to town. It was the perfect balance of peaceful and convenient. The host was great, responsive, and really helpful. I’d definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again!
