My place is close to the city center, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the location, the coziness, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The home is only 2 blocks from bars and restaurants and less than 5 blocks from Historic Downtown Wausau. This place was a true gem. Being right on the river was wonderful. The river was very slow flowing, so it was almost like being on a lake. We took advantage of the fire pit and kayaks. The home was perfect, and was the right size for all five of us. I loved the big picture windows with the two comfy chairs in front, we used those a lot when not outside. I really appreciated the large refrigerator, and the modern washer and dryer.

We stayed there for 2 nights for a ski trip as a group of 6. The host is super nice and responsive. the amenities are so nice. The weather and views is also fantastic. We had so much fun at there with the board games provided.

The Chouse was an amazing space. We had an extended stay here and it was perfect for our needs. It was a great location for our family in Wausau and a perfect place to bring the grandkids over for the day. We had room to play games and do crafts. They loved the air hockey and Pac-Man games. We had several tournaments. We would highly recommended this place for a family gathering.

we had chairs for sitting by our own campfire, they supplied firewood and kindling, a picnic table, a nice propane grill, kayaks and paddles, life vests, our own dock on the lake. the grounds and landscaping was beautiful. parking was convenient. it was really better than I expected.

Cozy, Quiet & Sanitized

Had to be in town for a few days of appointments. It's quite a drive for us, so I decided to book an AirBNB. I booked Kathleens place after learning that my go to BNB was occupied during the time that we needed. Kathleens place will just have to go on my list of BNB options in the area. The place was more than I even expected... I don't think the listing does the space justice. I will admit that if you are after brand new, squeaky clean, sterile conditions this might not be the place for you. It was absolutely clean in every way that mattered but had a vintage cabin charm that you just cannot get with "sterile" We felt right at home, and I would not have it any other way. I was able to DoorDash some groceries and make pancakes in the morning! I forgot a couple things but found that the things I needed had already been left in the kitchen. What hotel could we have done that at? Kathleens place is a great example of what I love about AirBNB. Would recommend this stay to anyone.

Our stay at Owl Ridge was great. It is so peaceful. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a place that is private -or a “staycation” away from home- this is a great place to stay. There are also plenty of restaurants in Wausau if you want to get out of the house. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basics for cooking and grilling (bring your own food, seasonings, etc).
