How lucky to have been able to stay a few days in this beautiful, comfortable and bright apartment, so well prepared for us. The atmosphere of the Croix-Rousse district, the proximity to all tourist and historical sites, the small restaurants... We can only recommend this excellent choice, while warmly thanking Cécile - and Patrick - for their friendly welcome.

i shared a meal with antoine one evening. as we chatted over wine, i asked him what the years of travelling has taught him. he replied simply: “people are good. everywhere.”. our conversation moved to other things, but not long after, a young boy came to the window and said hello. in an act so fluid as to be second nature, antoine gave the boy some of his meal. later, another boy appeared, and the cycle repeated. i share this story because its emblematic of the generosity i experienced during my three weeks at antoine’s home. antoine is a community organizer, a volunteer and active participant in the neighborhood. he is kind, he is light hearted, and he is curious about others. he is a neighbor everyone would be lucky to have. whatever your travel plans are, if you have the opportunity to stay here- do it. i havent traveled as much as antoine has, and i can’t speak on the “goodness” in people all over our world, but in his home, there in the 1st arrandesmont- i absolutely agree.

This was my first time ever renting an airbnb on my own. I'm a chicken. I felt safe even returning home after dancing until the birds woke up lol. Everything you want is within reach. I love the location of the apartment because it's just far enough away to where it is very quiet. My room was nice and spacious. Jérôme and Pascale were very kind. A very chill environment. Also, I adored my roommate from Wales. We hung out almost everyday as we discovered Lyon's nightlife together. If you want a space a little more intimate, I say look at renting the loft. Really enjoyed my time. Croix Rousse has a place in my heart.

I had the best time at Marlène’s appartement. Very clear instructions on how to access the appartement and close to the the alliance française. I felt very safe walking through the neighborhood and everyone was very kind and friendly. Lots of local restaurants and grocery stores. Perfect place for me to continue my French studies.
