Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Reykjavík

Great location and very responsive host. We stayed at this apartment for 4 nights and was a good home base for all our activities. Relatively close to a couple of the official pick-up spots for tours.

The apartment was very clean and cozy and in my opinion the location is very achievable in and out if you have a car and plan to take day trips in basically any direction. Kitchen i.e. had everything(and more) you need for cooking. Comfy sofa for relaxing after a long day out. Groceryshop is like 150m away and has a good selection of items including own section for vegan stuff. We had absolutely no issues during our residence here and would definately pick this one again in the future. Highly recommended

Hildur and Arnar were superior hosts. After I made the original booking they reached out with lots of information about the stay. They provided restaurant suggestions, parking details and where to go together the. Best prices for groceries. They were responsive throughout our stay. I am a nervous traveler and that really made a huge difference for me. I was able to relax and enjoy the stay instead of stressing about details. The apartment itself is adorable and perfect for a couple. The location is close to everything but in a nice quiet area. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a place in Reykjavík.

Hard to imagine it looking better than the pictures... but it was. beautiful, comfortable, amazing ambience.

A beautiful place at a beautiful and peaceful location easily accessible to Reykjavik and Thingvellir onwards to Strokkur. The house is clean, and as described. Unnur is easily accessible and respond to queries promptly.

Comfortable bed, good shower, nice patio if the weather had permitted. Good location for visiting the Golden Circle and South Coast. Grocery store very close.

Stay here just like home. Great area to live and very quiet. There are several supermarkets and restaurants around. Dagmar is very responsive and definitely a great host with very good taste for home!

An absolutely stunning lake side villa close to the famous Golden Circle. We used it as our base for a week to explore Iceland with friends. We were two families, with three children in total. The villa is simply stunning, so beautiful and the perfect home away from home. We all loved returning back in the evenings and enjoying the sauna and hot tub. Then the grown ups sat up late to take in the never ending sun outside, snuggled with blankets and fire pit for company. We lost track how many photos we all took of the lake. We also enjoyed our coffee in the morning over looking the lake and running the loop around the lake. Communication was excellent and Telma couldn't have been more responsive or helpful. We 100% recommend and will be back!

I had such a great stay in Elva's apartment. It is very very cozy, with access to almost everything you could need during a short stay. Although it is in a somewhat quiet residential area there are still a few places to eat and grocery stores a short walk away. The bus stop was also only a 2 minute walk away, with access to the city centre at all times. The apartment was very clean, everything was easy to access and I couldn't have found a better place to end my vacation in.

We booked this location and were not able to come on time bc of a flight delay. Lea kindly offered to stay a day longer (unfortunately we couldn’t). The b&b is located very close to a tankstation of you have a rental car. The car Satsu is very kind and will come for cuddles (once he is accommodated to you). Everything we needed was in the apartment. The kitchen is very big and we could make diner. The bed is very comfy. I recommend this b&b. We would come this b&b.

This place was perfect for my son and me. The bed and pullout couch were both comfortable. The location is great as it’s very close to the city center yet also on a quiet street. There is free parking a couple blocks away and we never had any difficulty finding a spot at the end of the day. The hosts were quick to respond to questions and I would definitely stay here again.

New, well stocked accommodations with a gorgeous view. Underground parking was a huge plus. Some construction in the area and not much around. But the stay was absolutely perfect.

Cozy and calm studio in a beautiful part of town. Very clean also! I definitely recommend and looking forward to come back.

Awesome host. Whenever I had a question about anything she responded in under an hour. Would definitely return! House is right in downtown and super easy to access.

Arni provided great instructions and photos for finding and entering the apartment - it was a seamless experience. I found the place impeccable and with an inviting charm. It's spacious and the bathroom is big. The mattress was very comfortable. Light sleepers should pack earplugs for the road noise. I didn't explore the area around but it's convenient for driving out of town to see the sites, and there's a gas station nearby. I didn't try the local bus but there's a stop for it very close to the building.

Had a great two night stay in Reykjavik. The apartment was very charming and we could tell the hosts put thought into the place to make it feel like home. It is ideally located close to great restaurants and tourist spots. Would stay here again. The host was helpful and very responsive as well.

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

Just beautiful view nice and quiet warm and inviting place!!!

We had a wonderful time in this cozy apartment. It was a nice location to be outside the city but have easy access to main roads and shops. We chose this place as it was walking distance to our friends' house. Heba's decor is very pleasing and the kitchen had everything we needed. The space is well designed for relaxation and practicality. It was easy to park our rental car in the driveway.

Highly recommended! Had the most beautiful views of the city and ocean. Very comfortable space and Magnus was very responsive. Will come back for sure!

Arna’s place was lovely and my boyfriend and I had a great stay! The location could not be better, a quick walk from the church (Bus stop #8), which was the center of the NYE celebrations and where the airport bus dropped us off. All of the bars and restaurants were also a quick walk away. Price was extremely reasonable compared to the hotels we looked at! Overall a great find!

We had an absolutr wonderful stay - great location and apartment and a good place to stat, both to explore Reykjavik but also as a base to get around the island with parking and amenities close by. An extra plus for the communication and how the host made sure we had arrived and enjoyed our stay. Can only recommend!

Kjartan was very accomodating to us and we enjoyed our stay in this appartment. The kitchen and other rooms had all the facilities we could have needed - this extended to more niche things such as a can opener which you don't always find in a flat! We were greeted nicely and the stay was uncomplicated. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, as well as having everything in walkable distance. It is also close to a bus stop. The flat is surprisingly warm on the inside.
