This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. A nosa estancia foi excelente. O aloxamento era moi cómodo, limpo e completamente equipado, polo que nos sentimos como na casa dende o primeiro momento. A cama era moi confortable e descansamos moi ben todas as noites. A ubicación era ideal, nunha zona tranquila perfecta para desconectar. Sen dúbida, un dos grandes atractivos foi a piscina: ampla, limpa e perfecta para refrescarse e relaxarse ao sol. A anfitriona foi moi atenta e amable, sempre dispoñible para calquera dúbida. Sen ningunha dúbida, repetiríamos!

Amazing space! Perfect for a few days of rest, surrounded by nature. It's exactly like the pictures. It's really worth spending a few days here. And we couldn't ask for a better hostess, super available and welcoming. We'll be back for sure!

Spacious, comfortable house with nice outdoor space, very nice shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with stunning views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. Only downside, the presence of dogs barking++ ( kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise pollution to report.

We had a great week together with our 2 children of 4 and almost 1. The facilities are Top, Manuela is always ready to help and the wine is fantastic. 2 very enthusiastic and sweet people who have made it a wonderful place. The hospitality made it even nicer. And Caramello was usually very cozy.

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

Luis went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He gave great recommendations daily. Ideally located in a vibrant area of Porto. Walkable to everywhere. The room was quite large which made a 3 night stay very comfortable. Highly recommended. Thank you Luis

This was a truly incredible stay and highly recommended. The pictures don't do this home justice in terms of the natural beauty that surrounds it. There are gorgeous hikes right out of the gate, excellent restaurants in the village with welcoming locals and we loved the bakery that's just up the road. We had three local dogs that hung out with us for our entire stay and even joined us on all of our hikes. The interior of the home is rustic but immaculate. The lofted bed is cozy and the bedding provided is very comfortable. The only thing that could have been nice to have would be a couple of sun loungers as sitting outside and enjoying the stunning views is what this place is all about. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

I booked the space for a bachelor party. I can say that all 11 people were extremely happy with the house, the availability of Mr. Marcos and the rest of the team, the cleaning, the amenities and especially the location of the house. It was exactly what we were looking for, for the kind of vacation we wanted to have. We were always very well advised, informed, well received, we wanted for nothing. A beautiful land, with activities and places to visit. Good value for money for those looking for a beautiful getaway from city life. Many thanks so much thanks so much. We will return.

Beautiful family cottage in an area that is not so touristy, just outside the well kept town of Cinfaes. Accommodation is rustic but still with all amenities you could want, so it’s perfect. Paulo is very kind and responsive. No issues.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! The pictures do not do the place or the breathless view justice. We were met right at the train station and felt extremely safe as female travelers . A bottle of wine and water were both appreciated touches as a welcome. The place was absolutely spotless and you wake up with gorgeous views out of the window and the door. The host was extremely communicative. We did not have a car and it was absolutely not a problem. We took the train Two days into Pinhao and Peso da Regua which were both easy beautiful rides. We did find even in May reservations are a good idea. The place was so nice that we actually opted to come home both evenings with food We picked up in town and a bottle of wine just to be able to enjoy that atmosphere on the beautiful patio. Will be back for sure! Thank you!

I had a fantastic stay. The place was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. Location was with beautiful views. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Portugal and would love to come back again in the future!

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

Ideal place to relax and contemplate nature.

Quiet location (which was what we wanted), excellent house, views, spacious (inside and outside/garden), lots of extras/gifts from the host, who was impeccable. I recommend it and we'll possibly return with warmer temperatures.

Fantastic accommodation! Very well equipped, comfortable and with air-conditioning in all areas. A great place for a quiet weekend!
