Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Redcar and Cleveland

Absolutely beautiful house!! EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for a few days away! We had 4 generations there to celebrate my 60th birthday and everything was perfect!! We’ve only been left a few hours and the grandchildren are asking when can we go again?? We would all love to return in the future!!

Cannot fault the place at all. Exactly as described. Penny was very quick to respond and very clear as to where everything would be and how to access the property on arrival. A beautifully kept property in a beautiful area. Penny left a couple of bottles of milk in the fridge and a delicious lemon drizzle for our arrival. She had thought of everything with regard the kitchen and, unlike some places, everything worked and the knives were sharp. Comfy bed and pillows, huge towels and loads of space even with six adults. Will definitely return if Penny will have us.

The photos don’t do this place justice (and the photos are very good). I would say location wise, one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. You would need a car as it’s remote, but in a good way, with a car everything is within 15 mins. The large paddock which we used to tire out our Labradoodle Nancy, has gorgeous views and so much space for her to run free and sniff to her hearts content. We met the owners and they were lovely down to earth people, very welcoming, but not imposing at all. We had a wonderful meal at The Waterside a Ruswarp, I would definitely book in advance as it’s very popular. 10/10 place of you don’t mind paying a bit for great food. The Plough at Scalby also very good food and drinks, would also recommend. The cottage was spotless, the bed very comfortable. Outside the garden and swing seat is all very well thought out and beautiful, gorgeous in the spring when we visited. The only negative….. is that we don’t live there!! Truly beautiful!

Any less than 5* or a-maz-ing would be doing Jane and Crabapple Cottage a disservice. The neighbours were fabulous too. We had everything we could possibly want in the cottage and looong garden, and more, including the trampoline 😄 Jane was super responsive to questions I raised even when she was out with a friend and immediately set to finding a solution to our mini problem. Settees and bed were very comfortable and our dog was immediately relaxed in the property which was also really important to us. So many places to visit nearby and lots to do, we could have spent way more time there.

absolutely great location for us but a good bus service from the Top of the road. Paul was a great host with how the presentation of the house was and the willingness to help if needed. we will certainly be in touch with Paul in the future when we return to Middleton st George or Darlington. you could not ask for a better Air bnb especially if you can use Tees valley airport as it is about 10 minutes away. We can't speak highly enough of this house and host. No I am not a relative of Paul but I can see why you might think this.😊👋

I worry about writing this review as we really have found a gem of a place so want to keep it a secret! The cottage is just fabulous, the decor and furnishings are of such a high quality, keeping the charm and quaintness befitting of the village itself. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom you could live in! The views when taking a shower are just amazing. We felt immediately at home, and Louise is a fabulous friendly host. We spent our mornings sat in the pretty cottage garden having our cuppa and bacon sarnie. All you can hear are the birds, just idyllic. The village is great, we happened to be there when they were holding there annual folk festival. The two pubs, both with beer gardens, had live music and we were fortunate to listen to some really talented musicians. We will definitely return to this wonderful place. Thank you Louise - one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in!

100% would recommend! Lovely property in a stunning location! Really good field for our reactive dogs to go off lead and be secure and safe. Dogs settled really quickly and were very grateful for their treats. Hosts are really responsive and friendly and are creating the perfect dog friendly place! We are already looking at dates to go back and have recommended it to a couple of friends. We could walk from the property and also drove 7 minutes to a local dog friendly beach (which even for our reactive dogs, was enough room on a bank holiday for him to not react!) STUNNING!

Thank you for the wonderful stay. Really beautiful surroundings and a cosy cabin sympathetically placed into the countryside. Helpful hosts with great communication ( especially as we booked very last minute) just a short drive from Whitby or Robin Hood’s bay so plenty to do. We will be back 😀

What an amazingly peaceful spot this is! The cabin is perfect for a short relaxing trip away. The views are spectacular and the surrounding countryside perfect for anyone who enjoys nature. We came accross rabbits, deer and squirrels within the woods around the property. The Cabin was cosy and perfect for 2 and full of great touches including books, games and a nice little record collection. Although we hardly saw them James and Helen were really friendly and hospitable. James even gave us a lift to the village when we were checking out.

Lorraine's cabin was beautiful. We visited for a long weekend and wished we were able to stay longer. The location was perfect- nestled in the woods, surrouded by trees and the sound of the stream and birds. The cabin was immaculately clean, and had everything you need to cook, clean and relax. We were here in May, so the weather was good enough to cook outside every evening, but with the log burner and stove, it would be an equally cosy place to spend in winter. Its the perfect location to escape to, but also a short drive or 40 minute walk to Whitby and other nearby towns. We both had the best time- thank you!

A great place to stay and explore the surrounding area. The cabin was perfectly clean inside and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. Would happily stay again.
