Gatekeepers Cottage

JackieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

Quaint 4 Bed Barn Conversion Barnhouse Starshinezz

FionaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.

Rest at the Nest @ Red Hurworth

FrancesRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This house was absolutely stunning. It was well worth the money we paid. We had 12 guests for a Hen Do and we had plenty of room. The hot tub was wonderful and warm, even if February. The view was stunning as were the rooms. Each room was beautifully decorated, including a stunning shower and bath. Hosts communicated clearly and responded quickly when I had questions. Would definitely return and recommend!

Thornwick Cottage

FionaRating, 5 stars26 months ago
We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. It is on the main street, it was very local for all amenities. The cottage was very clean, it had everything we needed. The stairs are very steep and takes your legs a few times to get used to. I would love to stay at the cottage again. I would recommend this to anyone. The village is very safe, i let my children go for walks to explore on their own. The children loved the beach and so did we.
A view of the coastline features boats gently bobbing in the calm water. The sandy beach is visible with patches of sand and rocks exposed. A breakwater extends into the sea, and the horizon shows a clear sky with soft clouds.

Oak Cottage

The cottage is a great place to stay. The host is attentive snd so friendly. It was my daughter’s birthday and she was given a bottle of Prosecco- it was a lovely thoughtful touch. This place is well set up for dogs too. Very peaceful and rural. So long as you have access to a car everything is easy to access. The North Yorkshire coast is beautiful. Loads of fabulous beaches and lovely resorts.

No pets Coastguard Cottage in heart of Staithes

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wow what a place. Totally felt like a home from home. Everything we needed and the beds were so comfy!! Was a struggle to drag yourself out in a morning 🤣. The area is so beautiful and peaceful. Everything was perfectly explained and easy to gain entry. Parking for unloading and loading when leaving was a bit hard work just due to everyone doing the same thing but just need to be patience to get a space. Wish we’d booked for longer and will definitely return. One little word of advice the bottom step as you go up to the second floor is a lot bigger than you expect and caught us out a few times
