Monthly Rentals in Raquette Lake

We only stayed here one night but we really enjoyed our time, even though it was cold and rainy. We were able to walk to the local bar/restaurant and the location is very secluded and homey. The house is lovely and rustic. We had three small children with us and the play room and games helped keep them, and us, occupied inside. We did wish there was a big main room for everyone to hang out in post hike, and if it wasn't so chilly, the large porch would have been the perfect place. Plenty of bedrooms, so we all had our own space. Linens were cozy. Our family thought this would be a wonderful spot for a summer getaway.

Really enjoyed my stay and overall experience at The Base Cottage. Access / check-in was a breeze, signs for the property and where to park were clear (which was really appreciated given a late evening arrival) and the accomodations matched the description perfectly (a very charming place!). Just minutes away from the local attractions and great access to hiking spots in Southern High Peaks and elsewhere. Fully recommend.

Place was great and just as advertised. Everything was clean and the location was in a nice area. I would definitely come back here.

Carol and Jeff were fantastic hosts and their cabin on the lake was exactly what my wife and I were expecting for our baby moon. The property on Sixth Lake was just far enough from town to be peaceful and relaxing but close enough to get a bite to eat, do some shopping, and pick up any needed grocery items. Carol and Jeff provided perfect communication and the house had everything. Oh, and can’t forget the cookies, which were the best. Sean and Katie
