Idyllic house in beautiful Helgeland

Our family of five, including three older teens loved our stay at Grandma’s cottage. A beautifully restored historic home, with new bathrooms, lots of space and comfy beds. Edel has put a lot thought into the decor and each room is special. We also loved sitting and having a meal down by the water at the fishermen’s cottage. If you can have the breakfast that Edel prepares, do it!! It was wonderful local foods. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Basecamp Helgeland - a pearl on the Helgeland coast

Awesome place! We were three families who had a great time for a weekend at Basecamp Helgeland. Several nephews had been to camp school here, so we were a little excited about what met us…… A fantastic nice host, the place had little camp school burden. Nice rooms and good beds for big and small. The small gymnasium between living/dining room and kitchen was perfect activity place for everyone. We had a great time with fishing, mountain hiking, volleyball, floorball, games and beautiful nature, and would love to come back! This should have been more advertised for. Many we know in the immediate area had not heard of the place, and was wondering if this was the place the kids had been to camp school…. Perfect place for celebrating round days with friends, family gatherings, and more.

Apartment was comfortable and easy to get into. We felt safe here (outside door kept locked). Furnishings were modern and attractive. Plenty of dishes and linens. Close to grocery store and cafes. Beautiful view.

This apartment was mine for us! Close to city center and cozy. Only negative was that we had to wait 30 minutes after the agreed time to get into the apartment, but other than this everything was perfect!

My friend and I stayed for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Andrew was an incredible host—warm, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to help us with our trip. His family was just as kind, and we instantly felt at home with them. The house itself was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and a cozy, homely feel (the sauna was a fantastic bonus). We felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. Highly, highly recommend—and we’d definitely come back. A very memorable experience. I highly recommend Linda's place. The room is great with a comfortable bed and the bathroom is big and nice and I slept well all the nights. Linda is very nice and welcoming. It was good and peaceful to spend a few days in the place, which is incredibly beautiful. You can swim on a sandy beach on the island, and the view of the sea is absolutely amazing. It's okay that there is a shop just nearby. I am happy to come back.
