Vacation rentals with lake access in Queens

What a special place! The home is a calm and peaceful escape. Our host Michael ensured that everything was perfect. We loved sitting by the fire and hearing soft music from across the pond at Water’s Edge. Also loved spotting the bald eagle in its nest across the water. A wonderful experience.

I stayed here for a weekend and I wished I would have stayed longer. Perfect spot for a getaway and relaxation. Olga was a really caring and warm host, super attentive at all time, always saved some food for us when she cooked. The house was clean, organized, with natural lighting everywhere surrounded by a beautiful garden and a river with ducks and a swan. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to relax, have a weekend to themselves and enjoy nature.

We had a lovely stay. JP was extremely responsive and accommodating. The house was exactly as stated in the listing. We would stay there again if in the area.

Michelle’s place was absolutely adorable! I really felt relaxed and comfortable. I slept well in the bed. The amenities in the kitchen were perfect for a short stay and the lake was lovely.

It wasn't my first stay in New York, but for a first in New Jersey I really enjoyed it. Manhattan is very easily accessible, in 20 minutes, very frequent buses and the view of the skyline is magical. Near the accommodation you can find all amenities, making the stay even more convenient. Finally, as far as the apartment and its owner are concerned, everything was as described. The accommodation is clean, functional, pleasant bedding, Paola left a particularly practical guide on site to facilitate and enhance the stay. I can only recommend the host and their accommodation and will not hesitate to talk about it around me or return during a future stay.

Beautiful location right on the lake. We were there in December and the snow around the lake and the sun shining down on it was a winter wonderland. The home was private and quiet. You have a living area, bedroom, eating area along with a bathroom and a second smaller bedroom. The home is a late 19th century home with wood features, beautiful light fixtures and even an old fashioned call box which is not operational but cute to look at. The couch also folds out so you could sleep a family of 5. It is minutes from Route 34 with so many restaurants you could eat different food for over a week. I went to NYC and the station is a 5 minute car drive and the train goes right into Penn Station is just over an hour. Lovely place I will stay at again.

My Family came into town for a show for my daughters. The house was a great spot to stay for 2 days. Had a beautiful view of the water. It was extremely relaxing and it got my kids away from electronics for a few days with not having a tv or wifi. It was such a great family weekend together. The host was very accommodating. The restaurants in town were very goos as well. If you want to get away for a few days with peace and quiet this is the stay.

Lisa was a fantastic host, responsive, helpful, and gives off the vibe that she really cares about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The house was beautiful, exactly what was advertised. The only surprise was how clean and tidy everything was! I’ve stayed in several airbnbs and I can honestly say that whoever fixes up the house between each stay deserves a raise, spotless and beautiful. The house feels like a home over a “hotel”. So many amenities, bathrooms are all fantastic (smart mirrors!), kitchen has all the tools you’ll need, and plenty of toys, TVs, and lake goodies at your disposal. Lisa gifted us some local coffee which was incredibly thoughtful as well. The area is quiet and peaceful, the lake gorgeous, everything was exactly what we wanted. Even the neighbors were friendly! All and all, I HIGHLY recommend this airbnb, and I hope it doesn’t get too popular, as I’m looking forward to booking a future stay. Thanks Lisa!!
