Vacation rentals with a pool in Putnam County

We were excited about revisiting this part of NY state, but we had no idea how much we would truly enjoy our vacation. We usually celebrate our son’s bday in the city or Brooklyn, but chose the Hudson Valley this year for a more relaxing vibe and boy, did we get it. We loved exploring the neighboring towns, farm stands and markets, but our favorite part was returning to Louise’s beautiful home. The pool area is a treat and right off the kitchen, so you never feel far away from the fun when cooking. The bedrooms were airy and cool and comfy (we came during a heat wave) and we all slept so well! There are so many cozy spots in the house that made reading, movies and dining a pleasure. We seriously took notes about how to improve our living situation, it was that well-appointed. The open field in the back was the perfect place to walk in the morning and throw the ball for our dog. And fireflies every night! Even our dog didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back. The perfect host, too

We feel honored to have been Hilary’s last guests. as she has sold the property and is moving away. Hopefully, she will get involved again wherever she ends up because she has a wonderful knack for making people feel at home. Her property was beautiful and we know she will miss it, but I am sure there are great things awaiting her in her new landing spot. Thank you Hilary for such a wonderful stay and good luck to you in the future!!

My family and I enjoyed three wonderful days in Cold Spring. First, compliments to the hosts for their attention to detail and responsiveness. We found the house spacious and well supplied to easily accommodate seven adults and one child, who seemed to enjoy the space as much as her elders. There are great spaces outside as well including ample room for parking. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking materials as well as a wide variety of spices and, thankfully, coffee. We enjoyed some of the interesting design touches inside, such as the Lego Titanic and the map of New Amsterdam. Our group especially enjoyed the Ms. Pac-Man video game. In Cold Spring we visited the shops on Main St., the park by the river, and Magazzino, the relatively new Italian museum just three miles away. All in all a wonderful stay.

We had such a special and memorable stay! It truly felt like a home away from home (we're from the city). My friends and I went up for the weekend getaway for my birthday, and we all agreed that the house was everything we could have asked for plus more. Since it was snowing, we did not get the chance to utilize the outdoor fire or pool, but the house was a perfect space to spend time together. The team was extremely communicative, friendly, and quick to respond whenever we had questions through either messaging or phone call. The home is a perfect getaway retreat and felt very private and cozy. My friends and I are now wanting to go back in the summertime because we think the summer experience here would be as magical. A few of our friends took the Metro North train up, and we picked them up in our cars because Ubers were a little difficult to get. I only have the best things to say and cannot wait for our next stay! Thank you so much Home Sweet Hudson for such an amazing trip!

This place was perfect for a city getaway! Me and a couple girl friends went up to the cabin for the weekend and it was so so fun. A beautiful home, and a gorgeous property. Whenever I had questions there was always a very swift response, the grounds keeper is an absolute angel and the kitties running around outside are so fun. Would totally come back!!

All around wonderful place! Would 100% stay here again. So many extras for children and overall very well thought out house. The pool is beautiful and surrounding garden are beautiful. The offered toddler bed and crib and all toddler friendly play area made this house stand out for us.

Richard and Greg were great hosts. Helped us tremendously keeping the house warm. The house was very clean and comfortable. A great stay.
