Stayed 2 months and 10 days at the wooden cabin, and I was genuinely saddened to leave. It was actually hard for me to leave this place. Abel is literally a problem solver. He jumps right in when problems arise to come up with solutions. Enjoy his sense of humor in Spanish, if you can. Spent Xmas dinner with this man and the kindest volunteer at the farm, and I wouldn't trade my end-of-year plans with anyone for anything. It was all perfect as it was. There's a beautiful community living there. Treat yourself to seclusion with a nice, clean, private swimming pool by a short walk to a waterfall and the river. Living here is a gift. Thanks, Brenda, for the humble care of the horses, the plants, and the garden. Thanks, above all, for sharing your property ;) All the best to you all!

We kicked off our honeymoon in Costa Rica at Axel's place for 4-nights. When we arrived, it was the evening so it was dark out. The following morning we were totally blown away by the beauty of this lovely farm! Gorgeous green trees, flowers, monsteras, & mountains are surrounding you. The view is spectacular (even when it is raining or cloudy). The house has hammocks to relax in, a kitchen equipped with everything you need to make a delicious meal, a very comfy bed, and views to die for! Toucan-spotting over coffee in the morning was a highlight. Axel was not only a great host but a lovely person to chat with! If you are looking for a more remote Costa Rican experience, this is the place for you. Highly recommend and are definitely planning to come back to this wonderful place! Thanks again Axel!!

This BNB is extremely private. You will stay here with almost no distractions or disturbances. It was my first time traveling alone and i felt comfortable and relaxed. The hose is available to call if you need recommendations, get lost, or need anything at all. The house was extremely clean but keep all of your food inside the fridge. It is in the jungle, the ants will look for any reason to hang out with you. Mccaws, toucan, and iguanas visible from the BNB. Cons: There are Iguanas that live in the trees surrounding, sometimes they end up on the roof and you will hear noises. you are in the jungle, a car is a necessity if you plan on exploring other cities or beaches. it will save you a ton of money, taxis don’t pick up at the BNB Because of how rural the address is.
