We had a wonderful time at Kotuku Cottage! It's just beautiful. You can sit in the big living room and look out to the tideland right behind the house and the sunlit hill on the other side. Our kids had big fun playing in the mud and water, and if you walk around the corner you're right at the ocean. It's a very quiet and private location but you can easily drive either up to farewell spit, or down to Collingwood (recommended: The Courthouse Café) or further into the golden bay. Highly recommended for a serene stay close to the sea.

Mary's place is one of the best equipped Airbnb's we've stayed in. I couldn't believe my eyes at the FULLY equipped kitchen. What a joy! The rooms were huge and the beds, so comfy. The kids delighted at feeding the peacocks, and became farm hands overnight. We can't wait to go back and experience more of that beautiful part of Golden Bay.

This was a great place to stay for a genuine Golden Bay holiday. The house has a great bach vibe, is near the beach and handy to attractions. The house had everything we needed and check -in was a breeze.
