Cottage vacation rentals in Puntarenas Province

This beautiful modern home is situated in a secluded location about 30 minutes from Monteverde Reserve. The host was very flexible with check in and very responsive with questions. The kitchen is equipped with all types of cooking utensils and the host provided breakfast items like eggs, milk, cereal, and coffee, as well as some snacks, fruit, and a bottle of champagne. The place was very luxurious compared to most cabins and lodges located in town where the rooms are basic and A/C is not available. It was nice to return to a comfortable, clean place to take a shower/bath and wind down after a day full of outdoor activities.

Really always continues to be fantastic in visiting this house that has a very welcoming style, with some sunsets and incredible views from the balconies of the house, in addition to a phenomenal weather, perfect in the evenings to use the fireplace and a social area with jacuzzi as well as a bbq to share with family , Ana Maria an excellent host and we look forward to coming back soon

Fantastic view and a really nice property. We didn’t get to see much of the surroundings due to unfortunate weather, but we enjoyed the house a lot. The area is beautiful, even on a rainy day, and the house is very close to the poas volcano, yet far enough away that you are not surrounded by tourists.

I spent two months in this beautiful house, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I could not have asked for more kind and generous hosts who helped me with anything I needed. Grisalda, Marcos, and Antonieta helped me feel right at home, and they felt like family by the time I left. The house is large and well ventilated, and surrounded by trees. It feels like you are in a treehouse. The view of the Gulf of Nicoya was something I enjoyed every day. Definitely note that, unless you mainly want to stay in the house and enjoy the peace and quiet and being in nature, you definitely will want to rent a car. Also, the house is guarded by the most lovely dog I've ever met, Marimba, or Mari for short. Her company was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. If you stay here, give her a scratch behind her ears and a chicharrone from me ❤️

Great space, wonderful views and the grounds were beautiful with all the flowers. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were nice and cozy. Stopped there as a half way point to the Caribbean coast. Was a tad difficult finding, but it was in the dark and once we got to Aquarius and looked at the pictures we got there no problem. Host was responsive. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house.

This place was absolutely amazing. We are so glad we decided to stay here for a night. The entire stay was such a beautiful experience. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The place was spotless and the deck and views were phenomenal. 11/10 recommend!

All I can say about this home is that words cannot do it any justice. You NEED to experience this for yourself in person. The views were absolutely out of this world. The pictures are exactly how the home looks in person and the amenities were great. We definitely used the kitchen space with the beautiful island. The infinity pool was such a vibe. We used every inch of this home!! By far the most beautiful locations I have ever stayed at. The host was amazing, responsive and accommodating. He gave us all the resources, down to the best local food places to eat at , things to do, and transportation to take. He even set most of it up for us!! The tour when we got to the home was incredible. 10/10 experience. We will never forget it. Thank you Costa Rica!! Pura Vida.

The property is very cozy and the place where it is located looks very safe, and the property is exactly as shown in the photos. Playa Dominical and Playa Hermosa are an hour away, the streets to get to the place are in good condition. Communication with the owners was excellent and we always felt that they were looking to help us with our queries. The property does not have air conditioning but the nights are cool because it has good ventilation and with the fans it is enough to keep the house cool at night.

Very functional accommodation in the middle of nature. Located 1km from a small supermarket and on the main axis of the bus going to Santa Cruz. If you're lucky, you can even hear and see the monkeys who live nearby. Lauren was very responsive during our stay. I recommend this place!

A nice place to be with family and pets

Authentic Costa Rican experience where we found our Pura Vida. Jessica was a very responsive host. Grounds were lovely and just steps away from the beach, the sunsets did not disappoint.

We stayed here 3 nights (family of 5) and had a wonderful time! So many animals on the property. There’s no need for a guided tour anywhere! We had a variety of monkeys in the tree tops everyday. Toucans came to visit every morning. The kids loved all the wildlife. The little pool was perfect and a refreshing pick for the end of the day. The place was clean and as described. Short walk out to the beach. The waves were pretty big when we were there. Dani was a great host and arranged a catamaran tour for us. It was great. Easy. Relaxing! Thank you!

We stayed at this location for one night as a pit stop between San Jose and Puerto Viejo. It was exactly what we needed. A beautiful oasis that was perfect for my family’s first night ever in Costa Rica. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and river after a very long day of travel. The coconuts brought to us were a wonderful bonus. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you Yorleny!!

Nice place, with a beautiful view towards downtown Turrialba. The place is very hot during the day, but since there are so many sliding doors and windows, no air conditioning was needed. I didn't have to contact Jaim for any reason, but in the messages we exchanged he was very helpful

We had an amazing stay at Casa Rana! The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect-just a five-minute walk to the beach and the store, in a safe and peaceful neighborhood. We truly felt at home and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Costa Rica!

Amazing host and amazing property ! We had such an incredible time staying here. The wildlife, the sound of the waves, and the walkability to the beach and to Martina’s restaurant were so great. We will definitely be back and highly recommend booking this home!

Our place reminded us of Swiss Family Robinson, up near the treetops, which occasionally had howler monkeys swinging by. It was magical. We did the snorkeling and bio luminescent tours which were both exceptional. We learned a lot and had fun! We also rented a kayak and went to Isla Cedros. Vigdis and Thomas were always available if we had a question, and fun to chat with. The beach is private and I loved going down there in the morning to watch the occasional birds fishing in the pristine water.

Super nice place, very private and cozy, perfect to disconnect without having to leave the city so much!

What a beautiful spot in the Central Valley. The view from the house is incredible. It’s a quiet neighborhood within easy driving distance of interesting sites in the valley. Clean, simple and organized, we very much enjoyed our stay here.
