Monthly Rentals in Punta Gorda

We stayed for a week and loved the property. The single beds were replaced with a very comfortable full size bed with high quality linens. Well stocked kitchen, bottled water was also provided. Spacious workspace/dining room, comfortable seating and TV area and very stable/fast internet. The suite was very clean, spacious , with large screened windows, awesome views of the property and sea. I wasn't sure what to expect for the bathroom because the ad only mentioned an outside shower but there is an indoor 3 pc bathroom located just steps outside of the suite, that was a pleasant surprise for me. It was very clean. We enjoyed the deck spaces, wood/charcoal BBQ and covered parking was a bonus. Roberto was a fantastic host. I recommend his smoked chicken and fish, if you can get it. We hired him for a day of fishing, he was an awesome guide. He can also arrange a kayak rental, another bonus. I give Roberto and the property a 5 star rating. Great dogs as well. I hope to return.

We loved our stay at Monkey River Retreat! We had 13 of us and Tina and Gary were with us every step of the way from before we booked all the way to our goodbyes. They answered tons of questions, arranged transportation to/from placencia, helped book all of our excursions with Leonardo from totally wild monkey river tours, gave us packing list and bug spray recommendations. Best of all, Tina and Gary helped us hire the most amazing private caterer, Miriam, a local from Monkey River town. Every single meal was delicious and unbelievably affordable. Since we didnt have to worry about shopping, cooking, or cleaning dishes we were able to maximize every minute with relaxing on the beach and on the dock, kayaking, snorkeling, volleyball, and a few days of full excursions that included thd jungle tour, deep sea fishing, fly fishing and scuba diving. Accomodations were clean, comfortable, and it was nice to have private rooms. We will be reliving this vacation for years!

I stayed at casitas for almost two months and could not recommend it more. The location is very private and safe, and the grounds themselves are beautiful - it feels like you're right in the jungle! The casitas are super comfortable and well kept, and equipped with everything for cooking etc. The pool was also great and very well maintained. Visiting PG is a really unique way to experience Belize and I 100% recommend casitas as the place to stay!

We had a great stay at Wanigi Guesthouse, and Sherlett was a wonderful host. The guesthouse is in a prime location: very close to the airport, and is a short walk to most restaurants and multiple markets. The James bus stop (located across the street from the bank/park) is also within walking distance. The guesthouse was very clean, had cooking supplies (pots/pans, a coffee maker, & a small fridge with a freezer), and a lovely front porch. The A/C was perfect after a hot day, and the hot water in the shower was very nice to have. Sherlett provided a 5-gallon drinking water jug and refill (dependent on local business’s holidays/availability). She also gave very helpful directions and recommendations for our stay.
