Anne was an awesome host. Space was super cute and looked just like the photos and description. requires some stairs, about 10 steps to the front door of building then 20 steps/one flight of stairs to the apartment door. Location is in the “newer” part of Monterosso. Highly recommend having lunch or dinner at Cantina di Miky ( awesome restaurant close by and ordering the pesto pasta and homemade limoncello. We wanted to dine at the original Restaurant Miky but it was closed for season so we found its sister restaurant & soo glad we did !!mm

The place was really very nice and everything was as described. The location is really great, both the beach and Portovenere are just a short walk away. Directly in Portovenere, wonderful hiking trails start, so you hardly need the car...The garage is an absolute plus! The communication with Nicoletta was very easy and she gave all the important information in advance. After a few days, we were just allowed to move into an apartment with fantastic sea views and views of the bay, which we really found super nice and not self-evident. We would come back in a heartbeat and spend our vacation here! :)

Matilde’s apartment was beautifully renovated - definitely the most updated place I’ve stayed in Italy! It was incredibly close to so many restaurants and less than 5 minutes walking to the ocean. It still felt private and tucked away though, so nights were quiet. I was worried about getting there with luggage since it was top floor, but it was super simple to find and didn’t take long at all! Though we had a short trip in Monterosso, this place made us wish we could stay longer. Next time, I hope to stay at Matilde’s apartment again! Grazie mille!

Matteo’s place has a great location as it is right in the heart of Monterosso with lots of shopping and restaurants around! it has a beautiful roof top terrace and a short walk to the beach. Stayed for 2 nights and it did not disappoint. Catherine was in contact by email with recommendations for activities and dinner a few weeks out. When we arrived, she met us and went through recommendations and showed us her place and then left us to relax and check out the place. You cannot beat the location, the views are 10/10 and step right out into the lower village where you can take a stroll or drop in for dinner, purchase a bottle of wine or take out pizza and watch the sunset. The place is clean, organized and everything works well. It is quiet inside and outside shutters keep it dark at night. The bed is comfortable and there are extra blankets. It is an easy walk to the upper village and the train station. We will be back!

Immaculate and characterful fisherman’s cottage sitting right in the heart of Riomaggiore. Terrace sets this property apart with amazing views straight out to sea, two sets of tables and chairs depending if you want shade, + sun lounges. it was quite windy and the terrace was sheltered and cosy. Rosanna and Salvatore are great to deal with. all in all a wonderful stay and would love to be back. thank you!!

Spacious 2-room apartment with great view. Has outdoor area and patio. Similar to what was shown in photos. It’s a half hour drive back to La Spazia but it worked for us as we parked our car at train station and got train into cinque terre. From apartment, It’s also a nice 20 min coastal walk to where restaurants are. Overall we are happy with the place.

Angela’s apartment is in a great location in the Old Town of Monterosso near some of our favorite restaurants and stores. It was fully stocked with toiletries and other supplies that most other hosts forget, especially paper product and laundry detergent. There were even towels for the beach, but we had brought our own. The AC cools the apartment nicely, especially in the evening. We had some trouble understanding the remotes for the AC, but Angela was responsive through the AirBnB platform to help. She was so helpful to us, suggesting events to attend and even brought us homemade pesto and pasta! The apartment was very quiet and we barely heard any of the other residents in the building. The bed is quite firm which is typical in Italy and a mattress pad would be a nice addition for those not used to firm beds. The apartment is the perfect size for two people looking to have a peaceful holiday in Monterosso.

We absolutely loved the view from the air bnb but we found it was more of a walk to town than we anticipated. Maybe we missed this in the description but it was definitely further than we thought. Made it difficult to go for meals or a coffee in the morning. The village is charming and we really enjoyed the view and all the windows. One caution about the staircase entering the apartment…..it’s very steep with zero lights if you are coming or going at night. We left very early in the morning and couldn’t see at all hauling our suitcases down.
