Fabulous place, location, and hosts. I highly recommend both. Kalk Bay is all charm. The apartment, top floor, has a wonderful view of the ocean and hills. Stunning. Easy secure walking into town. Lynne and Luiz are the best. The apartment is perfect in everyway: the bathtub overlooks the hills and with the sound of the ocean is all peace and comfort.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Christa’s.. the location and views were incredible - we ended up staying in and sitting at the balcony to enjoy undisturbed views of the sea and sunset almost everyday..the house was very cozy and made really well.. we would definitely stay here again whenever we’re in cape town next

An amazing stay! We loved our stay at this apartment. It was clean and neat, stunning ocean views from the apartment, walkable distance to the beach and great restaurants. Natasha was also extremely responsive, sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this stay. O

What a amazing Airbnb experience with Tacha! She welcomed me and we immediately felt like old friends. She gave me a ton of great tips. The house is just amazing, beautiful decor, comfy bed and bedsheets, the view is amazing some days I could smell the sea water! You can walk everywhere or get a uber it always like 5$ for a 10-15 min drive. You should definitely book it 👍🏽

We had a truly warming and memorable stay at this wonderful place. It’s an ideal spot for families, especially those with children. The area is peaceful and safe, with plenty of open space for kids to play and explore. Inside, the house is both cozy and well-equipped. The bedding was especially nice—fresh, clean, and super comfortable, which made for restful nights after busy days. One of our favorite features was the fireplace, which made the winter evenings feel extra special and added to the overall cozy atmosphere. The kitchen deserves a special mention—spacious, modern, and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for the whole family. It made preparing meals together a real pleasure. This place strikes the perfect balance between comfort and practicality. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing break or a fun-filled family retreat, it’s an excellent choice. We just left Cape Town and our stay at Gareth’s beautiful home overlooking the beach below. It was even better than the photos! We woke to an amazing view of the sun rise each morning! The beds are super comfy and the rooms bright and airy during the day. Such an incredible experience. We loved being south of downtown Cape Town with easier access to Boulders Beach and Cape of Good Hope. We could have enjoyed spending an entire week soaking it all in. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting. It was also super safe secluded on the hillside with a secure garage and gated pathway to the home and off the beaten path.

Great accommodation. The place is beautiful. I would stay again anytime. Very responsive host. Walkable to Main Street restaurants and the grocery store.

This was such a memorable experience. Spotless, beautiful,modern and at a good location. Enjoyed the king size bed and coffee and all the amenities. Alines dad was friendly,responsive and availing. I love the interior furnishings specifically the bath and the quiet tranqulity of the home as well the close proximity to whale coast mall and the waterfront. I would recommend this place to others and it was a wonderful commemoration of my parent's 70th birthday. .

..ended up spending 18 wonderful days with lots of reason to be there again. Babette and Cheryl are warm and hospitable. The air is breathable and believe me the house is a perfect escape to relax, unwind and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. It’s truly a slice of heaven!

I can confidently say that Mongoose Manor is the best place to stay in Franschhoek, whether it is summer or winter. We booked MM for a long weekend & had intended to spend our time hiking, but didn’t get further than a decadent lunch at Protégé, followed by a few hours in the local bookstore, after which we curled up in front of the crackling fireplace in the lounge & read. MM has become our place we escape to when feeling depleted & needing to nourish our souls. There’s nothing quite like lying in that enormous bed & watching a thunderstorm roll over the mountains in the distance, or sipping a glass of wine on the patio while observing the abundance of bird life or the hilariously mischievous squirrels outsmarting the local cat. Caro & Peer are unfailingly kind & generous, & the cottage is always stocked with yummy treats, but should you want to venture out, you are a 15mins walk from some of the top restaurants in SA & the high street. It honestly doesn’t get better than this.

The C-Huis was an excellent AirBnB. For a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, it is incredible value for money. The sea view from the open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is unbeatable, and we saw whales in the bay. The home is modern, well-maintained, spotlessly clean and the kitchen is so well-equipped with absolutely everything for cooking, baking, braaing, chopping, roasting, toasting, air-frying, and everything in between. The linens and towels were excellent, and the beds very comfortable. The washer, clothes dryer and dishwasher are great to have and dish wash powder was supplied. A nice touch to find the freezer with ice trays ready to turn out ice on arrival. We will be back!

The space was really relaxing and perfect for a holiday. So many amazing books! It was luxurious, spacious, central to everything in the city and we felt really safe. The cleanliness is impeccable. Great for groups who are in sync with bed time as upstairs bedroom and downstairs area can hear/see eachother. The lounge is so comfy for movie night with a huge tv, fantastic couch to comfortably seat everyone with soft throws. The main bedroom has a low door that you need to duck under, which can be tricky for night time loo trips. I'm a circus performer and my partner is a climber so we loved climbing the ladders. Abundant appliances: coffee maker, air fryer, blenders, washing machine and dryer. Joshua was so responsive when we needed anything and just lovely to communicate with. We loved staying here and I hope we can come back some day.

Stayed at Leo’s place for 4 nights. Timon was assisting us throughout. Very helpful. Always replied to our any questions at any time. We weren’t able to operate the heater, so he came down specially to show us and made a video also got an extra electric heater if we still can’t operate the manual one. Loved the place. It’s just perfect for 2 people and has everything you need for a comfortable stay with gorgeous views and near to all the restaurants and supermarkets We had a great time :)

Staying here was lovely. The view of the city is gorgeous and the apartment itself is stunningly decorated to give an at home feel. Which it does so easily. The plants in and around the apartment give it such a nice feel too. Overall it was lovely to stay here. walking distance from everything you could need too. Desk staff are super friendly and helpful

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it was conveniently close to safe walking areas, shops, a beautiful park & restaurants yet was in a relatively quiet road. The apartment is beautifully appointed with absolutely everything you need, especially in the kitchen. It’s light & airy with stunning views. You feel secure & totally at ease there. Very obliging staff, in all, everything to recommend it.

Zama’s apartment is lovely. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival. We felt safe and made use of the secure parking. The kitchen is generally well equipped, but the pots and pans are not in usable condition. Others have mentioned the long walk to the waterfront. It’s about a 20-30 minute walk if you follow the pedestrian path along the canal. Continue with the canal path opposite the city lodge hotel all the way to the waterfront and it is quite a lovely walk that didn’t feel taxing for us. The canal walk is open between 6am and 8pm. It’s about a 7 minute drive to the furthest waterfront parking. It was a bit noisy. We stayed over a weekend. The restaurant downstairs played loud music from their outside speakers. There was also some traffic noise. We still slept well though and the bed was comfortable. All-in-all it is great accommodation, good value, and excellent location for exploring Cape Town with a car or uber.
