About 4 km north of the city of Horta, is Almoxarife Beach. In the "moagem" space, there is life in every corner, in the garden there is a water cistern and a threshing floor. It has a traditional moth architecture that dates back to the beginning of the last century. In grinding, a philosophy based on the traditional and sustainable is practiced. It consists of: apartment, garden, craft workshop, farm with animals, vegetables, fruits and seeds of traditional varieties.

The jewel of the house is the large conservatory, wich is glazed on 3 sides inluding the roof, and which might be better be called a summer garden.

Very well localized, It is the ideal place for those who want to combine outdoor activities with a visit to the architectural heritage of Horta city. Due to the proximity to the Maritime Terminal (about 400 meters), is perfect to be the “base” in Faial to visit Pico and São Jorge islands. Very easy to park nearby. Near food market, pharmacies, shops and groceries.
