Places to stay in Powhatan

Perfect for our visit to Mechanicsville to see family. Everything was laid out well, clean, and spacious.

This property was wonderful. We came for Christmas together and it was perfect. The kitchen was well appropriated. The bedrooms were nice. There is one bathroom, but it is accessible from the master. The back is really large. If it were summer, you could cookout and kids could play games. It's perfect.

Anne was a such a wonderful host, very responsive. Her place is very cozy and convenient to what we are looking for. We would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a place in that area.

My family enjoyed staying here for a fun weekend in Charlottesville. It was a quick, easy drive to Charlottesville and other local attractions. We traveled with our 8 month old baby and our in-laws and everyone felt right at home! The sun room was a perfect spot for family time. The hosts were mindful about having plenty of toiletries and snacks for guests. We definitely recommend staying here!

Such a unique and peaceful experience! The kids were in love with all the hidden gems and the swings. Their dog joined us on a walk down to the river and he was just the BEST dog - it really added to the experience! Such a cool place to stay. It was pretty cold the night we stayed and we were still warm and cozy with the provided space heater, heated mattress and blankets. You can tell they put a ton of thought into every thing and we appreciated all the details embedded everywhere. Super friendly when we arrived but also gave us space. I'm glad we found this place - one of the coolest experiences!

I had a great stay at this Airbnb! The host’s messages were fun and welcoming, it really brought a sense of adventure. Their communication was top-notch, always timely and proactive, which made everything run smoothly. The place itself was lovely, and I really appreciated the great selection of cute games and toys like Bluey! Overall, a wonderful experience!

Brittany’s place was great. It’s just like the pictures (the only thing we didn’t realize from the listing was that it’s a duplex). This worked just fine for our large group, though. Brittany was super responsive ahead of check in and very helpful overall. She even offered to put up a Christmas tree for us and left ornaments for us to decorate. We’d definitely stay here or at any other of her places in the future!

The place was squeaky clean, beautiful and welcoming. We had a very relaxing vacation. The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. The location is close enough to Edgar Poe museum which we thought was really good. The location itself is ok. There is not much to do around if you are walking, but if you are looking for relaxing walks, peaceful time, this is it! Btw, downtown is 4 mins drive and museums are ~15 mins drive. All in all, very highly recommend!

Great little place. I enjoyed the outdoor space. Close to fabulous restaurants. Located in a quiet area. Clear instructions to finding the entrance. Decorated with detail and whimsy. Mike checked up on us to make sure we were comfortable and recommend a great breakfast place close by.
