After you arrive & settle into your secluded cabin, you will find many unique activities & quiet places in this serene setting amid the wonders of quiet waterfalls, easy walking paths, a wildlife haven, natural running streams & "The Bog Shack". Beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom

Beautifully decorated and spacious home in a charming, Alexandria neighborhood near the King Street metro and the shops and restaurants of Old Town. Just a 16 minute drive to downtown Washington DC, with a chef's kitchen and a relaxing great room. The house is also just a 10 minute drive to the new MGM Casino or the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor. The "no parties in house" rule is strictly followed. If you want to have a party or an event, this is not the place for you.

Our cabin, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains is uniquely positioned overlooking a large open field where hawks hunt and bears leisurely stroll. Our neighbors have horses that peer over the fence (nosy) pet them but don’t feed them, please. Our cabin was built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War. Eleven children were born and raised in John Pope Cabin. Our cabin is rustic. A large front porch with swing is waiting for you. @walnuthillcabin
