The Annex ( with Sauna )

Self check-in is available if required. Self contained annex with spacious, south facing bedroom with access out to the garden which guests can use. We are 2 minutes walk from the river and can direct you to nearby hills and lochs where scenic walks can be enjoyed. There is a cosy, friendly pub just round the corner which serves lovely home cooked meals all day. They welcome "muddy boots, kids and dogs". We are dog friendly too so please feel free to bring your well behaved dog along.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

Self contained annexe in the heart of Royal Deeside. The 'bothy' is a 1 bedroom home attached to our converted farmhouse. Downstairs has a spacious fully-equipped kitchen/living area with sofa bed and log burner. Upstairs is a double bedroom and shower room. Just 6 miles from Ballater, and in the Cairngorms National Park, the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve is on our doorstep with walks and cycle routes. Close by is Tarland Trails 2 mtb centre. Our property has bike wash and storage.

We loved our stay here. Location is excellent, right in the centre and walking distance to everything you’d need - union square is just around the corner. The flat itself is lovely and so spacious! We stayed with a 9 month old and a 4 year old and there was more than enough space for us all with the travel cot provided and pull out sofa bed. Communication was very easy and very quick responses. Thank you so much for our stay, we will hopefully be back sometime 😊

It is clear the owner takes exceptional pride in presenting a spotless and welcoming home. The location is soo picturesque (fabulous views) and peaceful - nestled between Aboyne and Tarland. Perfect base for soo many places to visit plus fantastic cycling and walking routes in the area. Do not hesitate to book this cottage if you are looking to recharge and relax :)

This lodge is a gem find 😊. In a quiet location with gorgeous views. Inside it was home from home. Very welcoming, beautifully furnished with loads of little touches, light and airy. It was spotless and smelt clean and fresh. Welll equipped inside and on the balcony. Stephen and Sandra communicated before with clear instructions, directions as there is no signal until connected to the WI-FI. We loved every moment and wished we had booked a longer stay.

A gorgeous property set in beautiful gardens - host(s) were proactive, friendly and always keen to offer suggestions on places to go etc. Property had lots of character and suited our requirements perfectly - lots and lots of space. Also, plenty of (dog) walks available straight from the accommodation and the Dee River walks are a highlight. In short, when we return to visit family this would be our choice property. We had the best time.

The cabin couldn’t have been more relaxing! Exactly what we needed after a long travel to start our trip. We were able to relax and unwind with the outdoor bath and fire pit and the chilled champagne and breakfast basket were perfect on arrival! Thanks to Mandy for giving us the best recommendation on a local golf course, Murrayshall was gorgeous and challenging! Thanks for this little gem Alice we hope to be back!

4 Bedroom holiday home with large private garden

We had a really lovely family time. The house was well equipped, comfortable and had lots of space for us all. We especially enjoyed the large conservatory. We came for walking and there is so much choice for different abilities and wonderful scenery. Aboyne is a great location for cafes etc and we plan to return.
