Absolutely wonderful place to enjoy a getaway! The location is fantastic with such a peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was great, clean, fresh and very big! We really enjoyed our time here and wish we could have stayed for longer! The host was great with communication and very friendly! There is nothing negative I can say with this one. It was perfect.
A calm shoreline is depicted with gentle waves lapping against soft sandy beaches. A clear blue sky stretches overhead, while quaint houses and greenery are visible in the background, contributing to a serene coastal landscape.

Saddler's Brae, seafront house in Port Charlotte

We had a pleasant time in this place with my family. There were 6 of us and had plenty of room to live during these 3 days. Laurie gave us good advice on activities or restaurants to do nearby. I highly recommend this reservation.

Sea view 1, green meadows, sheep and wide sky

StewartRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The apartment was very spacious, well furnished, with all the facilities we needed. We were fortunate to be on Islay with warm sunny weather, so the private patio and seating overlooking the water was a great bonus. Birte was very helpful with advice when we arrived, and with clear labels on equipment, so everything went smoothly. We were able to park our car in the secure area behind the gate. Islay was of course a fabulous place for walking and nature. Various small cafes were mainly closed during our stay, which was Sunday to Wednesday in May, but we enjoyed good meals, drinks or coffees at Sea Salt, the Bridgend hotel and Lochside hotel. Strangely, we didn't manage to visit any distillery visitor centre.

Ballitarsin House modern chalet with loch views

HowardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a beautiful house in a wonderful location. The accommodation is spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped, with just about everything you might want to use. The bedrooms are clean, light and peaceful. The bathrooms are spacious, spotless and very well equipped. The two living areas are also comfy and full of light because of the large windows. We were four people, but this house will accommodate 8 people in 4 bedrooms without feeling cramped. There's a wealth of information and books available about the island, and also about wildlife, walks and whisky. Although we didn't use it, there's a TV and DVDs and games.

Machrie View (luxury lodge)

Visited the island as a group for a tour of the various distilleries. House was exactly as described on the website, ideal for a group of mature gentlemen but would be great for family groups as well. Hosts were very helpful and communicative before, during and after the stay. Would be more than happy to use house again for a subsequent visit.

Water Edge Ballycastle

This was a great place. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. It’s a wonderful spot to have privacy right on the water and yet close to town where some excellent restaurants and cafés exist. I will definitely come back.
