Waterfront vacation rentals in Portishead

The flat was everything my group needed. We stayed 2 nights and Charlotte very kindly allowed us to check in 4 hours earlier than the listing states. The flat is on the top floor of a complex, right in the centre of bristol. It had everything as advertised. Mentioned in the listing, was that the balcony was under construction and unusable. When we arrived this was still the case, however there is another balcony connected to the kitchen which helped us avoid disappointment for a morning coffee in the fresh air. It felt very safe, being in a complex, and was easily accessible 24/7. Charlotte mentions there being a chance of noise late at night, because of the proximity to bars, but it didn't bother us at all being 4 floors up. She was polite, friendly, and reachable by phone throughout our entire stay, answering my questions quickly. The flat is spacious but still cozy, with more than enough space for a party of 8 people. We were all very happy with our stay and we would stay again.

What an incredible stay! This apartment on the harbour in Bristol was everything I hoped for and more. Perfectly located on Gasworks Lane, it offers a rare combination of tranquility by the water and the vibrant pulse of the city just steps away. Waking up to views of the harbour and the sound of boats gently moving outside felt like a peaceful escape right in the middle of urban life. The flat itself is modern, spotless, and beautifully styled – clearly designed with both comfort and aesthetics in mind. From the plush bed to the fully equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout, it had everything I needed to feel right at home. I especially loved enjoying a glass of wine by the large windows overlooking the water after a day exploring the city. The location is unbeatable – close to bars, restaurants, cafes, and all the energy of central Bristol, yet still peaceful and safe. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this spot makes the perfect base.

Lovely apartment overlooking Cardiff Bay. Great views. Easy on road free parking right outside the apartment. We managed to park 3 cars right outside easily. 40 mins walk over to Cardiff Bay. Penarth is a lovely little seaside town. Definitely recommend

The apartment was rented on behalf of visiting family members and ideally situated with close proximity to where we live in Minehead. The host has obviously put in a lot of time and effort to create a welcoming environment with a variety of nice touches, from pleasant room fragrances to decorations featuring areas of Minehead. Although it was primarily used as a base for sleeping and getting ready for daily excursions, we found the kitchen to be well equipped and spacious. Parking was a breeze, and the supply of a parking pass much appreciated. Despite the stairs to the second floor, we found it manageable and scenic views well worth the effort.

Perfect spot for me travelling solo for a quick stay. Very easy to find, everything I needed, close enough to centre of town to meet friends, Rhys was great and very responsive.

Apartment was exactly as it was shown and described. Fantastic view and position perfect for us. Walk into the city along the river was pleasant and easy, likewise the bridge over to the lovely restaurants etc in the Bay. We will definitely book this apartment again when visiting Cardiff. My wife Jan and I stayed at Mark and Helen's Apartment for a few days and found it very spacious and clean with separate living/kitchen/dining, bedroom and large shower /bathroom areas. All the necessary kitchen utensils were included as were toiletries and towels/flannels. Mark was available at all times should we need any help. We would definitely stay at this Apartment again.

Debbie’s cottage was immaculate and so convenient for walks with our dogs along the Wye river and woodland. So close too, for the local Inns, which also allowed our dogs to be with us. Would highly recommend Debbie’s cottage .

the only improvement i would recommend is to have a air conditioning unit. the temperature didn't go below 25oc in the lodge.

Such an amazing property and host. We was celebrating my brothers birthday Alex put decorations up and left a gift which was such a lovely gesture. We loved it there so much we are planning on making it an annual family trip. The house is set on the canal and the house comes with a boat, canoes and bikes which we made use of all weekend and made it so special.

Will & Amanda go above and beyond to make their guests stay wonderful. Check in was so easy with very detailed communication. They provided a lovely welcome book with info on the area, what’s to do, places to visit etc . The house was immaculate and very comfortable with everything you needed. The surroundings were super tranquil and just the perfect spot to relax with family. It was so lovely to simply sit and watch the wildlife outside and activity on the lake ❤️ Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway from a normally fast paced life. What a beautiful home on a beautiful location! Very comfortable and all the little things were provided ie washing up liquid, shower gel, soap etc. House on perfect location, about 30 seconds walk to the Brasserie, that does delicious food! Definitely would return!

We had an excellent stay at the rainbow lodge. It was even better than we expected! the lodge was immaculate, spacious and had stunning views of the lake. We also utilized the on site play park and took walks around the lake. We stayed as 2 couples with 2 young children and had plenty of space and everything we needed.

We had such a wonderful time. The house is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the garden and river beyond. The house is spotless with a lovely, homely feel. We had everything we needed for our stay. Sara was very responsive before our trip and came to say hello on arrival. She had some good tips for the local area and we knew we could approach her for anything if we needed. That said, we were left alone for the trip (except for when some lounger cushions were brought over - thank you!!). The area is stunning with some fabulous walks - we are hoping to come again and will be sure to recommend it.

I had a birthday weekender with friends and the apartment is really lovely and suited us perfectly. Not just clean, but comfortable too with everything you need. The host is great and helpful. It all made the stay so much more enjoyable. 100% would recommend.

We enjoyed this apartment. It is very convenient to the city center and other attractions such as the Castle and National Museum. The host was very responsive to our communications and immediately worked to fix an issue we had with the apartment. The apartment is on a busy street but we did not have any issues with noise. We would stay here again.

This was the perfect place for our family to come back to each evening to relax. It was clean, cozy, and Lucy had all the accommodations we could’ve asked for. She was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay, and even had a helpful guide in the home. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

The apartment was in a beautiful location with stunning views of the bay from both the bedroom and down on the decking / hot tub. The apartment was spotless and could tell no expense was spared when creating this space. It had everything you could need in the kitchen, as well as lots of little extras which make all the difference. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so felt like we were on holiday for the 2 days we were there when on the loungers on the private decking. Wouldn’t change anything and would definitely stay at Bay View again! Thank you Lisa for a wonderful, relaxing stay!

I loved this apartment & had been looking forward to my mid holiday break. I needed a break & had some work to catch up on & hoped this would be the perfect environment, it was. A quick walk to the shops for all I needed and the apartment had a great work workstation with monitor & keyboard. Vanessa had everything you could need but the flat still felt uncluttered. I loved the view. Very clean, & comfortable. I did get out sight seeing a few days & how lovely to return to the flat or walk around the water.

Second time I have stayed at Shona’s. Perfect place for what I need. I really like the apartment. Great spot sitting on the balcony looking at the river. I would just be careful of walking after dark especially if you are female.
