Pangona Boho chic by the beach

AlastairRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a fantastic time at Loic's place. As described it is about 45min drive from Vila so having your own transport is highly recommended. A representative form the management company met us at the airport and we followed them the property as it was after dark. This was really helpful as otherwise we might have struggled to find the entrance (its easy in daylight). Devils Point Road is unpaved but didn't really need a 4WD (we were there at the end of the dry season). The property is pleasant and set in a fantastic location with world class snorkelling from the private beach. Sam and his family, who live next door, look after the property and kept us supplied with Paw-paw and coconuts! Mele Beach is about 20 mins drive away and the Friday night Fire Show is highly recommended. We enjoyed our time there and recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in stunning surrounds.

BREATHTAKING VILA SENANG MASARI,

JonasRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had an amazing stay. As soon as we got there (finding it was no big problem for the local cab drivers) we were amazed by the amount of love & attention that went into decorating and furnishing the place. From medicine to cooking equipment & the bbq, everything was in abundance and made to feel like home. Courtesy of this welcoming feeling is no doubt the lovely housemaid Eva, who looked after us with amazing care. As a group of students (ages 20-24) we enjoyed the privacy of the house and its perfect blend of comfort (amazing beds, helping hands of Eva etc.) and more adventurous aspects (bumpy ride getting there, rare power-outages in the night etc.). All of us agree that this house was the core to our amazing time on Vanuatu. We would highly recommend to get a car (4x4 pickup was our choice & we did not regret it), as mobility is key on Efate. Also, if at all interested, get an ATV. Fuel is cheap & the fun priceless. Thanks to Christiana and Eva for this unforgettable time.

The Sorrento @ Watermark on Moso

ChristiaanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
from our initial booking request to his personal farewell at checkout, owner Colin was always on hand with great recommendations, a detailed compendium and just letting us "be" at our own peral whilst at Watermark. our island hosts, Nolan & Fanny, was just a short walk (or text) away to give further insight to Moso Island and its Ni-Van, while we also got the most delectable home made meals delivered from Fanny's Kitchen! you can spend the whole day admiring the craftsmanship of Watermark from the verandah, snorkel up & down the house reef, have a stroll to the nearby Tasseriki- & Sunaï villages, go turtle & dugong spotting or try kava at a local nakamal (Bamboo bar's the best)... whatever you do, just book, you will most definitely find paradise!

Namele Villas Villa 1

We had the perfect staycation here in Port Vila! The location is absolutely ideal—gorgeous sunsets every evening and so much space for the kids to run around and play. The home was spotlessly clean and felt like a true escape from the everyday. Peaceful, stress-free, and close to some fantastic restaurants. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Beautiful Studio right on the Lagoon and Beach

BrianRating, 5 stars70 months ago
Tropicana is a lovely resort on the banks of a quiet lagoon. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The resort is not too large or crowded and the bar/restaurant beside the water served a delicious breakfast and the best potato wedges we have had anywhere in the world. The staff were welcoming and friendly. we had not planned to stay here but booked a night when we were forced to stay in Port Vila for the night due to flight rescheduling. I'm really glad this happened, as it was a short trip to town and a lovely holiday experience in its own right. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Port Vila.

Surfside was a fantastic location. Huge rooms, all with a view. Katia was a fabulous host and extremely accomodating with last minute late flights and helping us with transfers. The accomodation is great and walking distance to a number of restaurants. The private pool and outdoor area was used daily. Highly recommend.

1-bedroom bungalow in beachfront boutique hotel

JackieRating, 5 stars20 months ago
Five blissful nights at South Pacific Memories were a real highlight of this trip. For snorkelling obsessives, the fish diversity right outside this boutique four-villa resort is the best I found in Vanuatu. Clouds of fish hover around the coral heads, schools swim past flashing silver, there are lobsters peeking out from crevices, squid, hundreds of wrasse, parrotfish and at least three types of triggerfish. We snorkelled here after breakfast every morning. The four villas sit behind the main house, restaurant, lobby, lounge and dive facilities. They’re two stories with rooftop decks to sit on and look at the stars, or dry wet clothing. Inside its spacious minimalism with concrete dressed up with colourful naive art. Good wifi, fridges, room safes, wardrobes to put away your suitcases and feel like you can settle in. Breakfast is included in the tariff and healthy and inviting! I found it very hard to leave this truly special place!
The image captures a serene pool at dusk, reflecting palm trees and thatched umbrellas against a sunset sky. The tranquil water mirrors the vibrant colors, creating a calming ambiance with the horizon visible in the background.

Island Magic Private Villa - Vanuatu

EileenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Don's place is a unit at Island Magic Resort -- we were in Bungalow 10. The bungalow was very spacious, with louvre windows in every direction so ocean breezes were great. Snorkeling right from the resort was also great. Grounds were well kept. The resort was very quiet -- about 15 min from town. We had a car so no problems getting around but local transportation was also available. Highly recommend attending the cultural show on Saturday evenings. Restaurant served excellent food. Staff was excellent-- this is a small resort where they get to know you very quickly. Highly recommend Island Magic and Don's place!
A private outdoor deck features a small swimming pool surrounded by wooden planks. Two black lounge cushions are placed for relaxation, framed by lush greenery and trees. The serene view of a beach is visible in the background.

KOOYU VILLAS BEACHFRONT POOL VILLA 3

PiperRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Loved staying here for 5 nights with my partner, very relaxing and private as no one was staying in the surrounding villas. February is the quiet time but also wet season. This villa would not have been comfortable with more than 2 people and obviously not as private if the other villas were booked. The staff were friendly and considerate. There were lots of bugs but that is to be expected in a beachside bungalow. It is not super easy to get into town to a supermarket without walking a fair distance to find a local bus. The staff said they can organise a ride for $12 Aud each person each way, with an hours notice, or you can find your own bus for $2.50 each person each way (not impossible but you just have to walk out of the village to the main road (about 1km). While it is beachfront, the water is very rocky and lots of coral, you might want rock shoes. No aircon but had fans, nice ocean breeze but bugs if windows open. I would stay again if I wanted to chill and not explore.

Bukurabeachhouse beachfront villa

PaulaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We enjoyed our stay immensely at this magnificent property. The direct and expansive views of the ocean, including a coral reef right in front, and the sounds of gently breaking waves, was an elixir for the soul! Bukura is a good 30 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of central Point Vila (depending on road conditions), but that is its appeal! A fully equipped kitchen made for easy food prep. The pool was immaculate. We loved the many separate spaces on the property set up to enjoy morning coffee, a leisurely lunch or sundowners, all while watching the sea. A pod of spinner dolphins cruising past was the icing on the cake! Robin was without doubt the most helpful and flexible host I've ever encountered on AirBNB, especially as we arrived only days after the 2024 earthquake. As promised, her neighbour met us at the gate as we arrived and showed us around. Robin promptly responded to any questions we had for the duration of our stay and could not have been more helpful.

The Boat House private beach house

EmmaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This is the most beautiful airbnb we have ever stayed in. We swam with a dugong on our very first snorkel, ate meals on the beachfront deck with a fire burning if an evening and played card games on the verandah with a French wine in hand! We were actually in the house when the earthquake struck Vanuatu (Dec 2024) and it stood strong, we were soooooo well looked after by the estate security, and the cleaning and gardening staff, we never felt unsafe. It’s a very pretty, private and safe spot for a family or couple, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

The Cove Vanuatu - On the Water

MarcusRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our second time at this stunning property, and delighted again. It’s truly serene, secluded yet accessible. The snorkelling access is quite unique. Any concern being in Port Vila currently should not be a worry. You are secluded though access is easy via water taxi - very cheap and efficient! A regular trip by boat into town for groceries is simple and enjoyable. Using a car is also easy, just what suits you. Robert will help you with anything you need!

Savarli - Tropical Beachfront Villa

KeenanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you want to relax and get away from the world, this is the place. Turtles' glories in the morning as the sun comes up and l was lucky enough to have two dolphins 5 meters away from my kayak one morning - was amazing The property is the only house on the beach for miles, you feel as though you're on your own remote Island. Just to highlight when you book, there aren't many places to eat in the area, so please take Pamela's recommendation and go to those places. We tried some others and they weren't as good, however the recommendations are excellent. Also you must buy groceries in Port Villa (as per the recommendation) before heading north to the property as there isn't much on the North side of the Island and going back to Port Villa is good hours drive each way. Only downside (and its common in Vanuatu, so is what it is) the bedrooms only have fans, no AC so the nights were very hot as there was little to no sea breeze. Her staff made us very welcome when we arrived.
A scenic view of the lagoon is framed by tropical foliage from a covered patio. A wooden dining table is situated to the left, and a barbecue grill is visible on the right. A round bowl of assorted fruits rests on a stone surface.

Troppo Mystique Lagoon Sunset Villa.

JeffRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We loved our stay in the Lagoon Sunset Villa, located in the middle of village life on beautiful grounds away from the main town centre. We utilised the kayaks and stand-up paddle board to explore Erakor Lagoon, and enjoyed the relaxing waterfront and expansive views. The boat across to Erakor Island was easy to arrange to have a meal or drinks. The superb sunsets were an absolute bonus and Annie was a great host!
