Beautifully resorted French house, keeping the character but with a modern well equipped kitchen and bathrooms with great showers. Excellent quality bed linen throughout, plus plenty of towels and extras for the pool. Exactly as the photos depict it. Lovely pool in a quiet garden. Cover allows for use even in inclement weather. Warm welcome when we were met by the hosts on arrival. Very helpful hosts with lots of good recommendations. Walkable to the centre of the village, with a great market on Friday mornings. Plenty of on street parking directly outside the front of the house. Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed in. Would definitely recommend.

We were hosted very well by Marie-Michelle and Philippe. The accommodation is impeccable and has all the amenities necessary for a family weekend. Our 2 small children were able to enjoy the very well maintained outdoor space. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use the accommodation's private pool, but instead we were able to go to the municipal pool 3 minutes from the accommodation which was perfect for the kids. We highly recommend this listing and thank our hosts for their kindness and the Vendée Easter specialty that we enjoyed☺️.

This is a very charming apartment within walking distance of downtown with sea views. There is a beach next to the building. The apartment is very clean, tastefully decorated and it is clear that Virginie and Bruno have a lot of fun to please guests; everything has been thought of. It's actually unfortunate that I was only able to spend one night.

We had a very nice week despite the weather a little changing, the area is very attractive, we were able to do visits and outings every day. The welcome with Didier went very well, we were able to exchange a few words at check-in and check-out. The place is clean, the photos and the description are consistent with what we saw. The accommodation is a little small when you are blocked by the rain ☺️ but very well arranged! We appreciated the silent oven and dishwasher! Our dog was also very well received, it was no problem despite his large size. We recommend Didier's home to future guests without so much as a second thought! Why not come back with milder weather 😃

Beautiful villa with pool 800 m from the beach

I will start by saying we had an amazing stay. The location is quiet and the house lovely, especially the dinning room which is in a glass addition from where you can have sun all day, whether it is taking breakfast, lunch or dinner. The fact that the windows in the glass addition also open mean you need not fear it getting too hot. The pool is a very welcome addition as the house is not quite 800m to the beach but rather a 20 minute walk. (although we perhaps did not find the right paths..). The kids loved it and we ended up using it more than we had thought. It is also slightly larger than it comes across in the pictures which is a bonus. There are animals associated with the property. Two hens who are very quiet and require no care and produce 2-3 fresh eggs every day and a lovely cat who also is low/no maintenance. The cleaning lady takes care of them so there is really nothing to do. The owners are very helpful and go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Additionally we had a cleaning lady who came three times during our stay (very lovely person) who brought us on two occasions bread and brioche which really made our morning. Overall I can definitely recommend the place and the hosts.

5 star review for 5 star super-host and perfect place. Christophe is a great host. Giving us great tips (we went Biking at Isle d’Yeu, catamaran sailing at noirmoutier,…) and always on the look-out to help / have a friendly chat. The place has a very charming swimming pool surrounded by flowers and herbs which can be used to cook on the BBQ. In short everything is there to have a wonderfull stay. We didn’t spend much time indoors but it’s very well renovated and Christophe keeps it in excellent conditions

We had a wonderful time at Domaine de la Forêt. The accommodation is beautifully presented in fabulous surroundings. It felt like real luxury. We really appreciated the swimming pool and grounds, where there is plenty of space to wander and relax. The interiors and gardens are very carefully curated and cared for. We loved exploring the footpaths connecting the site to the nearest village of Surzur, with all its amenities. Hervé's recommendations were spot on, with lots to see, do and eat only a short bike ride or car drive away. We wish we could have stayed a few more nights.

Marie is a great host, understanding, caring, very responsive. We arrived late at our accommodation. At 10 p.m., Marie was able to make herself helpful and available to help us get into the accommodation. Concerned about our well-being, she provided the necessary equipment to make us comfortable with our 2-month-old baby and 3-year-old daughter. Everything is thought out in the accommodation, we didn't miss anything. It was really nice, clean, quiet, 5 min walk to the sea, 2 km from the village where the atmosphere is very nice at the end of the day, where the markets are rich and friendly. In short, a great vacation thanks to Marie! Thank you so much!

A lovely house, the pool was fantastic and the sea/estuary views over the marsh were great. We were able to walk into both St-Brevin des Pin and St-Brévin l’Océan easily and found plenty of bars and restaurants. The beach at l’Ocean was beautiful and had lifeguards. We had a great holiday.
