Cabin vacation rentals in Pope County

Loved this place! Very private and such a good place to unwind with a loved one. We kayak and it was amazing. We sat in the hot tub and watch the rain on the lake and it was the most beautiful time. I recommend 10/10! And dispensaries are only 18 miles away.

This cozy little fishing cabin was exactly what we needed. We are local but needed a quiet little retreat away from home to just relax and unplug. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to go back.

We loved staying here for our Thanksgiving vacation. The house was clean, nice and spacious. The location is rural but it was so quiet and peaceful. Jessica was great at communicating.

An absolutely beautiful and lovely place!! My wife and I were visiting for our anniversary and were taken away by the view of the Lake while being in the hot tub!! Just exactly what me and my wife needed! The nature and wilderness brought peace and calmness which we both needed very much!!!

We enjoyed our stay on Hohman Lake! Very serene and peaceful surroundings, just what we needed to get away from the city. The hosts were very responsive with questions and we felt right at home!

Peaceful, serene, excellent solo trip for this burned out teacher. The pond with all the nature sounds was beautiful. The cabin was cute, cozy, and safe. The close proximity to the falls and trails was amazing. It is also a short drive to necssities. Definitely planning a trip back.

Patty’s place fit out needs perfectly! The location was awesome and my daughter and I really enjoyed all of the amenities and hospitality provided by Patty!

This is our second stay at Little Texas and it certainly won’t be our last! It feels like our home in Shawnee. The house is clean and has everything we need for the week. It’s surrounded by beautiful land. We fished and had a fire. We really enjoyed our time on the property and of course exploring the forest!

Even with the weather not being perfect the Cabin was excellent and plan to make another trip

Thank you Connie & Jack for a great stay! Their place is so cute and charming, hidden away in the Shawnee Forest. They are great at communicating throughout the stay and also did a great job communicating how to find their house (it’s definitely a little trickier if you’re first arriving when it’s dark!). Just an FYI for families of younger kids (not a negative for us), the room with the 2 smaller beds is on the first floor, and the primary king is on the second floor. We loved the chocolates! We also appreciated how clean and well stocked their place was. Perfect for a long weekend away!

Great weekend getaway in the Shawnee National Forrest. Cute little cabin to get out of the city. We were lucky enough to meet the host, they made us feel right at home and gave some great local recommendations. Definitely planning another stay in the future!
