Le Petit bungalow est situé sur un très bel emplacement sur le Motu Tiapaa . Emplacement très agréable avec une plage privée donnant sur le magnifique lagon de Maupiti. Les hôtes sont charmants et la cuisine est excellente et génereuse. Endroit de rêve pour visiter Maupiti. Un grand Merci pour l'accueil !!

Ryan and Friends were amazing hosts. this place was very peaceful. I advise you to keep an open mind as usually we don't get places with shared houses but if you want to get away from all of the craziness and get some peace I recommend this place. it is better this is about an hour from Hilo and about 30 minutes from some beautiful beaches in wailea.

I had an amazing stay with Tama & his lovely Mum Mina. Tama was easy to chat with & always quick to respond to any messages and/or requests. The place was clean and so easy to relax in, with plenty of spots to mix with others, or have sometime away to yourself. With bikes, kayaks & and a paddle board there was plenty to do & see. I spent most days swimming in the lagoon & channel just out from the property & it was magnificent, black tip reef sharks, spotted eagle rays & turtles some of the highlights. As an absolute bonus they have a gorgeous dog who absolutely loves a pat! A local shop for supplies is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride away, nice & convenient. Thank you again Tama & Mina, you both made my stay wonderful and I was sad to be saying goodbye. I hope to see you again in the future. Mauruuru!

Ikaika estate an off grid couples retreat.

Had a great stay with Ikaika estates, and it was exactly how described! We were met by Sherlane and her husband as soon as we arrived. We were shown how to get everything up and running and nicely left to start enjoying what the property had to offer. Would definitely recommend this place and they have a cute cat! :)

I really enjoyed my 5 nights. My family had been with me for a couple weeks at a much higher nightly cost, so in my extra 10 days I wanted to ratchet down to a more reasonable nightly cost. And this natural paradise was a success for me. I loved getting know Honokaa area better - and the roads around this retreat are just remarkable with their huge eucalyptus trees! Kitchen was pristine, and they have a nice French press for my critical morning coffee. And enjoyed eating the farm’s bananas for breakfast. And space in the fridge & freezer for my extra foods left over. I was tempted to stay extra nights, but figured it better to keep exploring the awesome island. They had an extra blanket because it does get chilly in the middle of the night. Memorable and enjoyable airbnb!

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Ryan was incredibly kind and made check-in a breeze. The property was stunning—peaceful and full of charm. Feeding ducks by hand was a first for me, and we loved making fresh-squeezed orange juice every morning. Though we didn’t plan to return to Hawaii soon, this place might bring us back sooner than expected. The room was spacious and comfortable, with clean, high-quality linens. The shared bathroom was well-maintained, and we enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and shower. While some reviews mentioned the lack of locked doors, we didn’t mind—it felt very safe and inviting. We had a packed itinerary but ended up clearing our mornings just to relax and enjoy the space. Thank you, Ryan, for an unforgettable stay—we hope to visit again soon!

This accommodation was one of our favorites during our stay on the Big Island. The property is beautiful and we loved the constant sound of the waterfall next to our room for 2 nights. Sadly the waterfall was too rough to enter the day we planned to go SUPing, so we never got to have that experience, but we would happily return!

I had an excellent experience staying at Hamakua Sanctuary. I so appreciate the thoughtfulness that the host and community there shows for the land and the people and their interactions. I was able to join meditation one morning, enjoy some new foods with others staying there, try an ice bath (!), and still have my own experience as a solo traveler. This is a wonderful place for an other-worldly adventure, and I hope to return soon :)

This beautiful location for the bed and breakfast is along a river with access to a lovely waterfall. The accommodations were simple and very comfortable. The surroundings are serene and very special. We enjoyed the short hike down and swimming under the powerful waterfalls. The morning (when sun shines in the water) is best time to check it out. The staff are helpful and kind. It's a great place to stay if you are checking out nearby Hilo or other sites east side of island.

Short notice booking with late check in, check in was easy and smooth. Good location, simple, clean bungalow. Fri night so the live band and karaoke at the pizza restaurant = very loud music until 10pm but band was great so no complaints from us. Listing says checkout is 11am but we had the cleaners knocking on the door at 10am. They were nice and said 11am was fine but they sat right outside our door for the last hour.

Un accueil familial très agréable, les chambres sont agréables et soignées de même que des espaces collectifs fonctionnels et confortables, on profite pleinement de la vie polynésienne et de la proximité du lagon. Tama et sa famille sont des hôtes disponibles, jamais avares de conseils. Prévoir tout de même un moyen de locomotion pour pouvoir pleinement profiter de l'ensemble de l'île, au risque sinon de rester un peu isolés.

Nanihi and all the staff at Tropical Garden are so sweet & accommodating. The road up to the lodge is very steep, but the view and stay is well worth the hike. They are also walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island! Hope to visit again soon xxx
