Waikiki Grand hotel... cute studio close to beach

Air conditioned studio condo in boutique hotel. The condo is clean and comfortable with king size bed, kitchenette with full size refrigerator and large shower. The space meets all your needs for fun beach days and restful nights. Across the street from Honolulu Zoo and one block from beautiful Waikiki beaches and Kapialoni Park. Very safe space with lobby, pool and restaurants. The studio has been renovated but I am waiting on new flooring...the floors are concrete with non slip area rugs.

When we booked this unit, I somewhat doubted that all the views were legit. Boy, was I wrong! The past comments mentioned that the unit was dated, which it was, but let's be real...who goes to Hawaii to sit inside an apartment. The unit was roomy, clean, had what you need to cook if you were so inclined. When we opened the curtains, I actually gasped at the view. Literally - a great view from every window. We spent all our time on the very roomy balcony just enjoying the beautiful waterfront scenery. There was also a really nice garden area with seating on the ground floor and a few steps down from there some very comfy lounge chairs to catch some rays. Yes, there could be some updates. but the scenery makes up for it by far.

Great place, phenomenal location, and incredibly comfortable bed. This place had everything I needed with a wrap around lanai, which was lovely for the evenings. It looks exactly like the photos and has all amenities listed. Check-in was good, though give the machine a few extra seconds to register your instructions via the touch screen.

Fantastic location. The beaches are walkable on either side. Restaurants/cafes/grocery aren’t quite as convenient but you can still get what you need within a mile of the place. The view is better than the listing makes it seem. Sunset view to one side, Kapiolani Park and the hills on the other. View of Diamondhead from the front entrance too. My only suggestion for the owner is that they give it a deep clean - wash the faucets and change out the AC filter.

After initially booking reservation I was told once arrived to the listing that because I booked at 6:10pm there was no way of getting inside to our unit, they were going to cancel and I possible would have to await on a refund. The listing did not state having to book before 6pm. We had to wait a little over an hour for the owner to agree to continue our booking. Once inside everything was okay. Word of wise make sure you book before 6pm ☺️
