Vacation rentals with a sauna in Podkoren

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Stay! We had an incredible stay from February 14th-17th at this beautiful mountain retreat. The place was absolutely stunning—even better than the pictures—with breathtaking views, a jacuzzi and sauna that made the experience extra special, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The apartment was super clean, beautifully designed, and well-maintained. The hosts, who live in the upper apartment, were amazingly kind and helpful—always available when needed but never intrusive. They even gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The next towns, with grocery stores and dining options, are just a 10-minute drive away, making everything easily accessible. We 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. The combination of stunning nature, thoughtful hospitality, and top-notch amenities made it an experience we can’t wait to repeat!

Beautiful location with a mountain stream right next door. Ideal for an active vacation. We were skiing on the Krvavac, which is about a ten minute drive. We'll be back in the summer and bike around the area, which makes the apartment's location perfect.

Extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. With a great beautiful glass sauna in the garden, from where you have a beautiful view of the mountain peaks across the valley. A wood-fired hot tub in the garden was also available. Very pleasant during an unclouded evening, with an immense starry sky above you. Unfortunately, trails were no longer available for cross-country skiing in the immediate vicinity. But with a half hour drive, there were good cross-country skiing opportunities on the public slopes in Villach, and in Slovenian Planica. For beautiful walks you didn't have to go that far. We enjoyed the week in Bach im Gailtal very much.

The place was more than what we expected. More beautiful than the picture here. The view of the apartment is amazing. And the location for us was perfect so quiet but close to everything (20 minutes to the center- 10 minutes to supermarket). The breakfast was great. David and his mother are helpful, respectful, and really kind. For sure I recommend this place to anyone plan to visit Slovenia. In the apartment, There is a folder containing places that suggest to visited. Thanks again David and her mother for everything.

Very enjoyable stay. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very reachable. The house was as advertised - clean, warm and comfortable with lovely views from the balcony. Very nice bathroom and shower. Walkable to the town and lake, and even closer to a big supermarket while still being in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy parking.

We had an amazing stay. The apartment was cozy and everything was as described. The hosts were always super friendly. Overall great apartment and we can highly recommend it.

Nice hosts, great large place with everything you need.

Miha was an excellent host! He was very friendly and has put a lot of work into his “Chilly Apartment”. The hot tub was exactly what we needed after long days of hiking! The suite was private and we could easily walk to the lake from there. We would definitely recommend this apartment to any friends or family!

Michael is a super responsive and helpful host, the accommodation fully reflected the description and the lake view was superb, I think we'll be back. Also for those who love skiing it is very close to the cable car and a 5-minute walk there is a skating rink and a nature reserve for those who love bird watching with beautiful specimens. The only suggestion I would like to give to Michael is about the bedroom doors that are made of transparent glass and are not the best for privacy, maybe a nice shutter could help. Zoran's place is a great place to stay if you have a car and want to explore Slovenia. The flat was well equipped, and suited our needs. Within two hours driving through stunning countryside we were able to access white water rafting at Bovec and spent a day at Lakes Bohinj and Bled. We also had a day at Predjama castle and the Postojna caves and another at the Lipica Stud and the coast. Ljubliana airport is only an hour and a half away. Idrija itself was only 15 minutes away and has an interesting history of Mercury mining and Lace making and there are many walking trails from the door.

Nika is very friendly & and responsive host. Because we were afraid of the cold, we asked Nika if she could increase the hot water temperature, and Nika solved the problem for us immediately. Very efficient. The house is big and comfortable. Definitely worth recommending.

Tamara and Marjan were probably the kindest, most welcoming and thoughtful hosts we’ve ever encountered. They came out smiling at our arrival and gave us a toast with homemade schnapps. They showed us the apartment which was thoughtfully appointed with a washer, drying rack, kitchen, heated floor, sauna, very comfortable beds - nicer than the photos. They left us bottles of wine, cheese, homemade sausage, schnapps, and the next morning we awoke to homemade chocolate croissants that they left in a covered container on the porch to protect them from rain. Just these thoughtful little touches that really made our stay. We also enjoyed speaking with them as they’re so friendly. The location of their home is quite nice, private and beautiful property. Two minutes from Pradjama Castle and also very close to Postojna Caves. We would have loved to stay longer.

Very cosy and homely. The place was very well-kept and we like the location a lot (good views, walkable to supermarket and restaurants). Anita was very responsive and we appreciate the clear/helpful instructions. The place was exactly as described in the listing!

It was a unique experience, and we felt very welcomed by the hosts. In the middle of the nature, great view, very quiet. Perfect for hiking, cycling and relaxing.

Beautiful quiet place. Heidi-Alm ski slopes are about 2 minutes by car. An ideal resort for small children. The chalet is fully equipped, everything was set up, we didn't miss anything. We loved our vacation and would love to come back for a summer vacation. Christine is a great host. We can only recommend to everyone and thank Christine very much for the beautiful winter break.
