We had a great stay in Halifax, beautiful drive past the lake to get to Ronald’s house. We didn’t have time to use the kayaks, but it’s a perfect place to do so!

Totally as advertised. Very clean and homey with helpful instructions to make our stay easy. David was responsive and very helpful.

We had booked the home while we were attending a wedding at the Lakehouse in Halifax. The home was better than described if you enjoy the charm and nostalgia of a lovingly restored antique home then this is the place to stay. The details within the home were beautiful the woodwork throughout the home were amazing. There was more than enough room for our party of eight and everyone enjoyed their time. The hosts made sure that if we needed anything that they were available but we honestly didn’t need anything. If you have an event at the Lakehouse venue I can’t recommend enough a stay at the Black Walnut House you won’t be disappointed and the proximity to the venue makes this an ideal place to stay.
