We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Soliel. It is an amazingly beautiful, perfectly located, sweet little home. Mario and Karen were lovely and helpful and we hope to be back someday!

The beach house was amazing, exactly the peace and quiet we were looking for. Having the beach right outside the gate was incredible, and we found plenty of great restaurants just a short drive away. The team was super friendly and responsive; Harry and Ossiel made sure everything went smoothly throughout our stay. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again if I’m ever in the area. Overall, a great experience!

My friends and I had a great time at the house it had everything we needed and the Property Caretaker Don Pedro was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Violetas house to stay in San Juan del Sur.

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

Estuvimos muy agusto, todo se corresponde como está descrito en la información. Es un lugar absolutamente precioso delante del mar. Conseguimos la tranquilidad que deseábamos y Roger se mostró muy amable y comunicativo desde el momento de nuestra llegada.

Amazing Beach House! This place is absolutely wonderful. The house itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the location is spectacular—perfect for anyone who enjoys privacy and relaxation. It's just a short walk to some fantastic restaurants, which made our stay even better. We had such a great experience and will definitely be visiting again!

The host Mary Jane was absolutely amazing. The Airbnb was beautiful, the photos did not do it justice. The house was roomy and the decor was very nice. It was in a closed off gate and private with a guard on duty every night. Mary sent so many awesome recommendations for us to go and eat. She even arranged taxis for us and was super responsive. She was very nice with my family and personable, she remembered every little details about them and accommodated my grandmother. I will definitely be back and I couldn’t recommend her enough! 10/10 experience

We had a great stay at la Bahia! Spacious home with nice pool only a few steps from the beach and town of San Juan del Sur. Special mentions to Veronica and Feliciano for always being available for our questions and needs. Be careful with the electricity usage. We had to pay a fee for exceeding the electricity allowance. We would come back anytime!

We had to chance to meet with Luis & Tiffany and they were really nice and helpful with everything ! It was a real pleasure to meet them and to stay at their place. Honestly they were two of the nicest person we’ve ever met! We really love the pool, the rooftop terrace, the breakfast were very good and Carlos the janitor was also very nice! The view was amazing ! If we ever we come back in Nicaragua we’ll be sure to go there again! The only thing that you should be aware is that you have a lot of stairs to climb before getting to the place. It’s not meant for disabled person. But beside that everything is perfect. You will definitely enjoy your stay there!

Great place for the price considering you are getting a private room with AC a block from the beach. There’s no instructions and limited info on the listing but the host gives all the instructions over message and in person.

Martin is a superb host. Very responsive, nice, and accommodating of any need - such a nice person that makes you feel like your stay is the most important thing. The place is amazing. It's small and cozy, with good airflow and AC at hot times. There is a great garden with a big tree for shade, comfortable beach chairs, a hammock, and a shower. The water is 20 meters from the door, and it's a short 15-minute walk to Bigginers Bay and Santana and 2-5 minutes from several restaurants and a grocery shop. We came by car with a toddler and enjoyed the time. It is great for surfers who want to surf the area, beginners who want to learn in the beginners' bay, and people who want to stay in front of the water in a relaxing place.

Beautiful serene spot and only a 10 minutes walk from the centre. The space was called "cueva" or "cave", which is a great description for it. A naturally darker bedroom with very comfortable bed, and beautiful shower with stonework. You get a private patio equipped with dining table and hammock surrounded by the gardens. Jan-Luc was responsive and helpful at every step along the way. If you are planning to take advantage of the kitchen, it was a little bit awkward with minimal equipment, so plan accordingly! Overall I highly recommend this place.

hervorragendes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Wir bezahlten ca 26$ pro Nacht in der Regenzeit. viel Platz, moderne Einrichtung, gute Ausstattung in der Küche. Dicht am Badestrand. Wegen anderer Bewertungen: Insekten sind in Nicaragua ganz normal. wenn keine da wären, würde es mich stutzig machen, weil dann vermutlich eine umweltschädliches Insektizid verwendet wurde. Stromausfälle sind ebenfalls normal. wir hatten dadurch leider etwas Probleme mit dem Internet, aber Rosie und chilano waren sehr hilfsbereit. Chilano bringt einen außerdem zum nächsten Supermarkt mit dem Motorrad. Trinkwasser wird auch in der Unterkunft kostenlos bereitgestellt.

Ich habe mich im Salitre sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich durfte sogar meine Sachen vor dem Check-In in den Kühlschrank stellen. Das Haus ist geräumig, gut eingerichtet und verfügt über alles,was man braucht. Zum Strand sind es nur 2 Minuten Gehweg.Toll fand ich,dass ich meinen kleinen Hund unkompliziert mitbringen durfte.Die Verwalter kümmern sich herzlich.Insgesamt habe ich mich sehr wohl im Haus gefühlt. Ich komme sehr gern wieder ins Salitre...

This place is an absolute gem! If you're looking for a peaceful escape and a genuinely good time, this is the spot. Carolina is a fantastic host—thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly welcoming. Her amazing team is always available and quick to respond to any needs, which made us feel completely at ease. Most importantly, we felt safe and cared for the entire time. Skip the crowded hotels and lodges around San Juan—this is where you want to be. We'll be coming back every chance we get!
