Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Playa Guiones

We had a fantastic and relaxing time in Samara. The house is very comfortable, with the best beds of our Costa Rica trip. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything was as described. The pool, while small, entertained the kids after a half day at the beach. Two things to note if you're going to book. 1) You may think it is walkable to Samara, and technically it is, but in the heat of the day it is not. 2) The public utility infrastructure of Samara is under strain, so expect blackouts and at certain times of the day a dribble of water pressure. This is a Costa Rica thing, not a house thing. We had a fantastic time.

We loved our stay! It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool a lot and were lucky enough to see howler monkeys and hummingbirds from the deck!

Excellent. We had a lovely stay at Hans's, who is very responsive with Daniela and always offers to help you. The house is as pictured, a beach house ON Sámara beach, so ideally located, with a convenience store opposite, Sámara's fishmonger is a block away and a beach restaurant 50 m away. And the sound of the waves to fall asleep, we'll be back for sure. Thanks so much Hans & Daniela!

Michael is a great host. From the moment we arrived, he was attentive and communicated very well. The place is very quiet and perfect for a vacation away from the noise of the city. In addition, Frijolar beach is very close. I recommend it 100%. It's an excellent place!!! We'll be back…

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property was peaceful, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Julio, our host, was exceptional—by far one of the best hosts we've had in Costa Rica. He was responsive, generous, and showed great hospitality. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Daryl Is an amazing host who is kind and genuine. Being a first time traveler to Nosara, we truly had a great experience. Jade and Daryl are very responsive and the space is beautiful. Location is near the beach and shops. We hope to return and stay again.

The house is superb and very well located a few minutes from Samara and Carillo beach, grocery stores and restaurants. The rooms are spacious with private bathrooms. Only small downside, the neighbor's rooster sings very early in the morning and in various situations...but we get used to it with time. Galileo is very responsive as well as Sandra. I would highly recommend this house. We had a good time there.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this beautiful home. Jackie was so amazing. Incredibly responsive and super helpful. This was our 3rd trip to CR. We will be back. Pura Vida ❤️🇨🇷

Great location on beautiful beach, the house is perfect for large groups/families and all comfort is present. Very friendly and helpful host and is ready for every question. The release of the turtles is definitely a must to do.

Our stay at Steven’s place was incredible. The place looks just as listed and is every bit as stunning. Steven was a very responsive host and was insightful about the area. The roads near the house are a little rough but totally worth it. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our family came to Nosara to attend my niece’s wedding. Our accommodations were perfect. The beds were comfortable with AC in each room. The washrooms and kitchen were modern, very functional and clean. We were a short walk to the beach and central to all the shops and restaurants. Laird and Sabrina were great hosts. Anything we needed they were there for us. I would highly recommend Casa Rodeo and certainly stay there again. Pura Vida.

We loved the private location and cabin feel of our stay. It was clean and had plenty of room. The location was very convenient. I easily walked to Bodhi Tree yoga center for a class everyday. The beach was a short walk also. The hosts were very responsive and helpful in arranging anything we needed.

Very functional accommodation in the middle of nature. Located 1km from a small supermarket and on the main axis of the bus going to Santa Cruz. If you're lucky, you can even hear and see the monkeys who live nearby. Lauren was very responsive during our stay. I recommend this place!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful place! It was walking distance to everything in Nosara, including the beach, shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the easy distance to carry our surf boards to the beach. It was lovely to swim and lounge by the pool in the hot afternoons. The three separate buildings gave plenty of privacy for three couples. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and there was a lovely covered outdoor dining space. We would recommend staying here to everyone and would love to come back someday!

I had a relaxing and adventurous stay with my partner at Casa Del Halcon 2 for 10 nights. The casita was clean, roomy, with a great kitchen and an amazing outdoor area. We spent many mornings in the hammocks with a coffee listening to the sounds of the jungle. The gardens surrounding the property are stunning. After a day of adventuring in the area, the plunge pool was the perfect place to cool off and chill out. We enjoyed reading in the shade on the lounge chairs and daybed. Chris was super helpful and welcoming to us. He was responsive to all of our questions and ensured everything was running smoothly. The location is perfect. A minute walk to the local soda where we had a couple of delicious meals. Small grocery store is 5 minute bike ride. Samara is about a 15 minute bike ride away. Buena Vista beach also 5 minutes away where we saw the most incredible sunsets! Overall we would highly recommend staying here for a truly unique experience of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Casa Shambala/Tranquila is a little oasis off a lovely dirt road with as many horses and bikes as there are cars. The area is a slight bit out of town which I preferred as it centers you in the middle of a great hike, another more secluded local beach and a quiet and cool neighborhood vibe. It’s a quick bike ride or leisurely stroll to town and there are a couple of small mercados near by where you can groceries. We woke up to the sight and the sound of monkeys and birds singing and 3 beautiful hammocks to choose from to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a great gazebo space to chill or meditate or yoga or whatever. Safe and secure as well. Just a great spot all around. Chantel and Tonya and her adorable, quiet and respectful daughter only added to the positiveness of our experience. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly but also extremely respectful of your space. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back and stay again soon.

Vehiel was a great host. He was friendly and responsive. The place was very quiet and peaceful, down a short dirt road off the main road. In the morning, howler monkeys were howling from the hills. The beaches are a short drive away, and there is a grocery store right down the road. The kitchen met our needs, and the beds were very comfortable. Vehiel provided tour information and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return next year!

The accommodation is detached house and is a great place to stay if you are looking for a clean, private atmosphere. The facilities are top notch, they hardly show any wear. The beach (Playa Honda) is 3 mins walk. It is very calm, has black sand and beautiful palm trees surrounding. Apart from local fiahermen occassionally, it is not visited often. Enjoy the sunset of your life! Tidal waves can be very high and strong, but you can find the right time to swim there. The estuary of a clean river is nearby, offering a nice short hike (south from the house on the beach). The next beach tonthe North is Playa Junquillal is more frequented by people, and there are some facilities. Ideal vacation for a family with kids to enjoy the sea and plan a trip to other areas of Guanacaste. Mark, the host is available promptly, should there be any questions.
