Vacation rentals with a pool in Playa Carrillo

This is a great drop-in spot for families. The pool is private and just right to let the kids play while you can see them, bug-free while sitting inside. Super easy to walk anywhere to the beach / restaurants. And the hosts are incredible to work with. We’d easily choose this place again when visiting Sámara.

Perfection. Absolute perfection. The other reviews are spot on. Just book it already. The views can’t be beat and no picture can do it justice. Everywhere you look it is beautiful and magical: the jungle sounds, the sunsets, the amazing flora and fauna, the details and thoughtful touches. It is so perfect it is almost overwhelming. Every day, I couldn’t believe I was there. And the hosts! They are amazing! They are genuinely kind and generous, not that fake used car salesman nice. They are the real deal. Anything they recommend, just do it. Use their concierge service and do everything! You can’t go wrong. We would have stayed longer and plan to go back soon.

Casa Samara was described as family friendly, and it sure was! The kids *loved* the pool and we could walk right out the front gate to the beach. It was about a 25 minute walk (with kids) to downtown Samara. The hosts were so responsive when we extended our stay and needed some clean sheets. All of the rooms had fans and all of the beds had bug nets. 💜

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful casita of cally and scott. On the terrace with the pool opposite the rainforest and yet central in Samara and not far from the beach, you could relax wonderfully. And listen to the howler monkeys and birds. Even a hummingbird came to the property. Cally and Scott were super accessible. Her explanations regarding the locks etc. were simple and good. Overall, we found a few too many rules for our taste, but that also made everything clear. The decor of the house is tasteful, which we loved.

We stayed here for a week, everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As said by many already, the view is incredible, very peaceful and relaxing property. The house was very clean, beds comfortable, and all of the outdoor furniture was great as well. Our stay was towards the end of dry season so it was very hot so the pool was great to lounge in and cool off every day. The drive up the hill to the house was daunting at first but after the first go it was really nothing, we didn't have issues with a standard SUV rental. We saw lots of howler monkeys, iguanas, lizards and the daily overhead parakeet fly-by around dinner time. Jonathan and Kevin were very helpful onsite, great guys, we appreciated all their help and overall friendliness. Great property, close to Samara and a hard to beat view, would highly recommend this rental. Thanks for everything.

Comfortable casita with two seperate rooms (bedroom and kitchen are seperate in two different rooms). The place is small but sufficient for a few nights' stay. The hosts have privacy screens and plants on the properry to increase privacy for guests. Close to the beautiful beach in Puerto Carillo.

If your in St. Theresa, this is the place to be! Really enjoyed every part of our stay. Every restaurant we tried was great & our host was even better! Please look no further, this is your place.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house in Samara. The back courtyard pool area is beautiful and frequented by parakeets, hummingbirds, and iguanas (we also saw a possum there one night, which was neat). The pool itself feels refreshing. The living room and kitchen area is spacious, and worked great for our family of four. There’s no A/C in the main room, but there are ceiling fans that keep it comfortable most of the time. Both bedrooms have A/C, and comfortable beds (the main bedroom has a king-sized bed!). Overall, the house had plenty of space for our family and it’s ideally located in the heart of Samara. Restaurants, grocery stores, and the beach are all in easy walking distance. Also, the hosts are very responsive and helpful (and the kitchen is well-stocked with good pans, a nice stove, and other appliances. And there are plenty of hangers in the closets!). We’d be delighted to come here again. Highly recommended! PS: The wok shack down the block is delcious!

Awesome place and great host

Great stay and very well kept communal property! It was nice to have the pool and yoga/gym area and access to filtered drinking water! Thank you for a great place in Santa Teresa for the night!

I can’t say enough positive things about Tina and Jorg and their place! Looked just like the photos and amenities were as described. During our stay we encountered one of the largest rain storms in the history of Samara! We had some slight water damage on the walls but as soon as I told Tina and Jorg, they were quick to respond and help out. They even went as far to come by the place the next morning with a bottle of wine as an apologetic gesture! Samara is a safe small town with so many restaurants that are all within walking distance of the condo. There is a path that takes you out to the Main Street from the condo, it is a bit of a steep hill but the exercise was much needed after all the food we ate! There’s also a ton of excursion vendors for tours like ATVs and kayaking. I definitely recommend yoga as well as Gusto’s for comfy beach chairs and great service! Tina and Jorg truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We loved our stay. Pura Vida!

Wonderful! Excellent! Marvelous! The unit was well appointed and had all you'd need for a great stay. Tommy went above and beyond to suggest places to eat, activities, and he researched special requests I had. The beds were comfortable and had several different types of pillows to choose from, which accomodated various comfort levels. The pool was pristine and so very refreshing and enjoyable. It was a great place to stay, and I'd stay again when in the area.

We had a lovely stay, great hosts and perfect location. Close to the pool , safe, quiet, very comfortable beds. Great kitchen with lots of supplies for cooking. Wonderful family time !

Michelle's place is super cute as described. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated all of the extra pillows. We enjoyed going to the beautiful beaches and it was great to have the beach chairs & cooler for our use. We had the pool all to ourself, which we enjoyed. We really loved the town and all of the fabulous restaurants. Thank you, Michelle!

Very relaxing place to end a 15 day stay in Costa Rica. Very well located condo and with magnificent sea views. You can easily walk to the beach

Loved staying at Katie & Happy’s place! It was a little walk from downtown Tamarindo, but we loved making the walk and noticed a lot of people utilized the scooters all around or had rented golf carts, which we would have opted for if we brought our kids. They provided beach towels and chairs that we used often and a filtered water pitcher in the fridge so that saved us on purchasing bottled water, which was so helpful. There was a little market close by and several amazing restaurants. The pizza place across the street was the best pizza we’ve ever had and I went to the nearby snack shack for açaí bowls and coffee almost daily. Langosta was a beautiful area to stay in with close private beach access. We were also able to walk the beach to Tamarindo at low tide. We loved this place and location and would definitely stay here again! Thanks Katie & Happy!
