Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa Despina! Die Lage ist traumhaft ruhig, perfekt zum Entspannen, und gleichzeitig ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Süden Kretas zu erkunden. Die Villa selbst ist sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet – von der Küche bis zum schönen Außenbereich mit Pool war alles top gepflegt. Besonders gefallen haben uns die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten bei unserer Ankunft. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt! Ein echtes Highlight: der traumhafte Blick auf die umliegende Natur und die Sonnenuntergänge am Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können die Villa Despina jedem empfehlen, der Ruhe, Komfort und kretische Herzlichkeit sucht. Vielen Dank für alles!

Séjour inoubliable … accès facile , à 15 min des plages (sans foule), logement avec une vue magnifique sur la mer, très bien équipé , grandes chambres , une piscine parfaite pour nos 2 jeunes ados , un petit supermarché à 3min en voiture très bien fourni , et surtout des hôtes si accueillants , disponibles , ouverts , chaleureux , qui nous ont permis de découvrir leur magnifique région. Plus qu’un logement c’est une expérience que je recommande absolument .

We came 5 people - my husband and I, with our 2 children and my mother-in-law. First of all, a few days before we arrived Elena (an amazing woman with a perfect english) contacted me and made sure she has all the details so she can prepare a perfect stay for us. The house was super clean and equipped, and the outside was the best! We spent hours in the pool enjoying the amazing nature around us. Elena and her husband Yiorgos are wonderful people - they were very kind, caring and responsive. We wish we could come again next summer 🙏🏻

Une semaine passée dans cette petite maison vraiment très agréable. La vue est juste magnifique!!! Le cadre est incroyablement calme et reposant. Un véritable bonheur. Également une petite attention très agréable nous attendait à notre arrivée, un gâteau fait maison. La maison était impeccable! La piscine est très propre et nettoyée régulièrement. Les propriétaires très sympathiques et réactifs, respectueux de notre bien être. Nous sommes vraiment ravi de cette semaine passée dans cette magnifique maison. Merci à Christos pour sa gentillesse et réactivité!

Giorgos’ place was an excellent getaway in a little hillside village. It was quiet, surrounded by mountains, and so relaxing. There was a wonderful tavern and little shop in the village, within easy driving distance of Heraklion and Knossos. Eliza was a great host and answered all of our questions. When we had an issue with the oven, they sorted a new one the next day and gave us a free meal at the tavern. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

A really lovely place for rest and relaxation. We had booked the lower house, much smaller than the main house but perfect for 2 people. Everything was super clean and we felt at home straight away. The view is fantastic and the houses -despite their modernity- fit perfectly into the classic landscape . We always had the shared pool to ourselves and as all three houses are built with so much privacy, you usually have the feeling of being the only guest on the property. It's the perfect place to soak up the south of Crete. And no matter whether we had minor or major problems, Antigone and Emmett were available for us and always immediately tried to find solutions or suggested alternatives for us. You can tell that they both care a lot about you having a good time in their house in Sivas.

Tolles Apartment, sehr gute Ausstattung, schöner Pool, ruhige Lage und sehr freundliche Gastgeberin! Wir hatten tolle Tage hier

A blissful beautiful place in the sweet village of Lefkogia. The Virginia creeper covered terrace has amazing views of the mountains and the chickens and ducks down the road which kept my 18 month old happy! There is a mini terrace perfect for a quiet coffee or glass of wine and then the pool garden which is just beautiful, such a sun trap where you can watch eagles and vultures over the mountains and listen to the reeds in the wind. The house is huge, much more spacious than we expected, and very well equipped, we cooked most lunch times and evenings. Betty was a great host, quick to respond to any request and easy to contact. The village has a funky coffee shop, great Taverna, cafe and a well stocked supermarket and a little playground. There are stunning beaches a short drive away. In short a perfect holiday villa…we could have stayed a month and hope to return!

Es war alles einfach nur super. Die Unterkunft entspricht absolut den Bildern. Die Lage ist wunderschön und der Ausblick unbezahlbar. Der Vermieter hat bei Ankunft auf uns gewartet und uns alles gezeigt. Vor der Abfahrt kam er noch einmal zu uns, verabschiedete sich und wir erhielten sogar Geschenke wie Wein, Öl und Raki. Zur Ankunft war der Kühlschrank mit ein paar Dingen gefüllt. Bei Problemen war Defkalion immer schnell ansprechbar. Dir Unterkunft ist einfach zum entspannen. Im Ort gibt es Fussläufig einen kleinen Supermarkt und einige Tavernen zum Essen. Wir sind absolut begeistert und können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen. Wir bedanken uns wirklich für dir tolle Gastfreundschaft und für diese schöne Unterkunft.

The house is truly something special. The interior and design of the house is super tasteful and combines traditional Crete with modern elements. Everything in the house was spotless and brand-new. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and the courtyard was very cosy. We can only recommend this gem of house at Crete. The location is a little remote but perfect to relax and enjoy Crete off the beaten paths. We hope we will come back. Also the village where the house is located is so picturesque. Amazing local tavern with great authentic food are in walking distance.

Un accueil au top, énormément de merveilleuses attentions de la part de Katerina et de son mari, un grand logement au calme... Pour mes premiers jours en Crète, ne parlant succinctement que l'anglais en dehors de ma langue maternelle, l'immersion semblait pourtant totalement et "simple". Je recommande vivement!

Diese Unterkunft ist ein kleines Juwel! Es war traumhaft schön, mit Meeresrauschen aufzuwachen, auf dem kleinen Balkon den ersten Kaffee zu trinken, dann mit Blick auf das Meer zu frühstücken, im Meer zu baden (es sind wirklich nur wenige Schritte auf einem privaten Weg zum Strand), auf einer Liege auf der Terrasse im Schatten zu lesen, zu kochen (die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet) oder am Abend in einem Restaurant köstlich zu essen. Mein Mann und ich liebten die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit dieses kleinen Dorfes sehr. In dem kleinen Tante-Emma-Laden gibt es alles, was du benötigst zum Kochen, fürs Bad oder kleine Mitbringsel. Sehr betonen und loben möchte ich die Kommunikation mit Nikolas, die immer freundlich, hilfreich und schnell war. Als wir in der Wohnung ankamen, wurden wir mit Brot, Milch, einem gefüllten Obstkorb, Wein, Wasser und weil wir über Ostern dort waren, ein paar Ostereiern begrüßt. Wir haben uns selten so schnell zuhause gefühlt und würden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Wir haben sehr schöne Tage genossen hier im Ecohous. Die Ruhe ist hörbar. Unglaubliche Ruhe und perfekt zum Erhohlen.

Het verblijf is zeer mooi gelegen met mooi uitzicht op de bergen en de vallei. Het is redelijk afgelegen en je hebt een auto nodig om er te komen, maar dat maakt het verblijf op deze locatie juist bijzonder. Met de auto is het een paar minuten rijden naar een kloof en een mooie waterval. Het is zo’n 20 minuten rijden naar verschillende mooie (redelijk rustige, ondanks het hoogseizoen) stranden en een klooster. De wifi was bij aankomst even zoeken, maar na wat hulp van de buren verderop werkte het over het algemeen redelijk (wij verbleven in het onderste gedeelte en de modem staat in het bovenste gedeelte). Het appartement is ruim en fijn ingericht, net als het terras. Het enige dat werd gemist in de keuken waren een schaar en een scherp mes. Het bed is wellicht wat smal met zijn tweeën gedurende warme zomerse nachten. Voor de yoga liefhebbers; mijn vrouw baalde ervan dat ze haar mat niet bij zich had, een prachtige plek om yoga te beoefenen. Bedankt voor een fijn verblijf!

We stayed at Georgio's place for a month and where truly happy with our choice! The house is just like at the pics, and I would say even better. It has all you need to feel at home and is very well kept. You get to the sea in just a couple of minutes, the beach being very well organised and never over-crowded. Lot's of cafes and shops, all open up till night. For travelling around you would need a car, the rental opportunities being offered in abundance all throughout the place. The village itself is very secluded, and quiet, and peaceful. Just the perfect place for families. It was super easy to stay in touch with the host. They helped us with ordering the taxi from the airport and were flexible to accommodate the check-in to our timing when our flight was severely delayed. In short, it has been a great experience, and I'd fully recommend this place!

The apartment is beautifully laid within a village in central Crete. It is a very calm surrounding, no noises which was refreshing for me. There aren't any huge supermarkets around in the vicinity but shops for the necessary bits within the village or the next village as well as cafes and diners. Definitely need to get a hire car to do any meaningful exploring. Christina was always very helpful and responded within hours. She is happy to provide any tips, etc. You get a little care package before check-in which is very handy and thoughtful. It should be noted that the house has thick wall which is a godsend to escape the summer heat. In Winter or early Spring there might be the chance that it is a bit cold inside but there are movable radiators in the household. I found that the lighting fixtures on the wall make for a particular cozy atmosphere in the tastefully furnished living quarters. I really enjoyed the stay in this apartment and would highly recommend.

Conforme à la description ! Le jardin est un vrai plus surtout avec un enfant. Il faisait très chaud et la loggia n'était pas climatisée donc nous n'avons pas pu l'utiliser dommage car c'est un très bel espace ... après nous étions tjs dehors donc ce n'était pas trop gênant. Logement isolé donc on est au calme, à distance très raisonnable de Matala en voiture ! Giorgos est un super hôte très réactif Nous recommandons

We loved our stay at Meronas eco house. We travel with airbnb regularly and this is exactly why we love the platform. Manolis has renovated it with love & attention to details and with respect for traditions. Yet it’s comfy & well heated. A home with a soul! It was a privilege to stay there (with our family of 4) for 2 days! We loved the food present upon arrival & the bread, cake & pastries brought by mama Manolis. Manolis was not there to meet personally but he was very responsive via chat and he had sent us a lot of info about the house & tips for our travel itinerary. The taverns in Meronas were still closed (season starts after Easter) so we enjoyed simple home cooked meals in de ambiance of the house. The supermarket a few kms further was very well stocked and had a local cheeses & meat counter with very friendly service. We love the Amari valley! We hiked the Patsos gorge (amazing in spring!) And visited Arkadi & Preveli monasteries and Preveli gorge. Phaistos was nice too!

The pictures don’t begin to do this wonderful property justice! It was simply beautiful and one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. It is truly luxurious and so well appointed. The hosts were wonderfully attentive and very good at answering questions and making recommendations. We loved there were so many different spots to sit outside for a coffee or breakfast or an evening drink. We will also never forget the sounds of village life either..:hearing the sheep coming home each night was brilliant! It was a real joy to stay at Penthe Manor and we would love to return one day! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Beautiful Cretan style stone walls home with incredible scenery, close to the beach and surrounded by ancient olive groves.

Een super mooie, schone & gezellige villa waarin alle faciliteiten aanwezig zijn! Echt een pareltje! We zijn zeer gastvrij ontvangen door Nikos. We hebben genoten van onze morning koffie’s op de veranda in de ochtendzon en van de mooi verlichte jacuzzi in de avond! Vooral ook in de koelere maanden op Kreta is dit huis echt een aanrader omdat het binnen echt goed te verwarmen is door de krachtige airco’s. En het warme water van de jacuzzi (39 graden) is fantastisch in de winter! Het huis ligt zeer rustig en centraal op loopafstand van de winkeltjes en restaurantjes in Pitsidia en slechts op 5 minuutjes rijden van Komos Beach en Matala! Een TOP plek…wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen! Dank Nikos!

Our stay at Apostoli and Maria's place was fantastic. The cosy house is in the centre of Lendas just a few steps from the main square (where you can park), the taverna and the beach. Everything inside was perfect and clean: the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for cooking, a large fridge, an oven and a washing machine. As we were there in March and there was nothing open, Maria provided us with lots of food: fresh vegetables and fruit, pites, everything for breakfast (tea, coffee, sugar, jam and honey from their production, biscuits...). There were also vases of beautiful, colorful fresh flowers in the house. A wonderful and warm welcome! The house is divided into two rooms connected by the external patio but no problem: we were able to have breakfast and eat at the large table on the patio even though it was March. We communicated with Maria and Apostoli by phone and email and they were always very kind and helpful. We hope to return and meet them in person!

This home on a hillside outside of Ano Kalisha is spectacular. Ourfamily of six people had more than enough room in this spacious, very well-appointed home. Everything about it is first rate, and the location couldn’t be better. It sits on a hill overlooking hills festooned with olive farms and vineyards, with the sparkling blue Mediterranean providing background. A very large pool, perfectly maintained, will draw you and your family into the water all day. Yet you are only 15 minutes from Heraklion and Knossos. Also, Aris is the perfect host. He drove us to the house when we got to Ano Kalesha and was always on call for any questions that we had. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. I know that you will find that your stay here is one of your best memories of Crete.
