Le Verger de La Croix is open for pick-your-own from mid-May to the end of August (more details on the website: vergerdelacroix). Many hiking trails are accessible from the property.

Perfect house for our group. We ate outside all the time, host gave us several answers and directions Natacha was very accommodating and allowed us to leave later, super nice. Very convenient self check-in and next to several possible activities including the Nancey Observatory Be careful during our stay the tap water had a very strong taste plan to buy water if this is still the case we couldn't drink it and the upstairs toilet was temperamental Reported to host Natacha also in the review

Fantastic base to explore the Loire Valley, and the surrounding forests and lakes of Salbris, including the beautiful city of Orleans. The château itself is full of history, and Celine and Stefan's apartment is very tastefully and historically restored... Stefan kindly gave me a tour of the castle. There are some stunning hikes near the château and even within the grounds of the château, as well as swimming in the river and many lakes. Overall a very memorable experience...

We had a lovely stay for Christmas, very well hosted and nice surprise he had put up a very nice Christmas tree for the occasion. Very nice warm home and very pleasantly surprised by this indoor and outdoor space. A very large fireplace to enjoy winter evenings Well heated home, impeccable bedding and interior, relaxing living room. Nothing but good things to say. Thank you Val for this tastefully restored home. To be repeated.

We rented this house to celebrate my 25th birthday, the setting is beautiful and the house is very welcoming! Its location in the middle of nature allowed us to enjoy it without being afraid of disturbing the neighborhood. I highly recommend this home and could not have hoped for a better place to celebrate my birthday!
