Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pierce County

We spent our christmas holiday for 10 days at Sam's property with my two grandkids and my daughter and her husband. It was absolutely magical. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and cold plunged! The kids loved the house and literally cried when we had to leave. The backyard is perfect for kids. We really gave the fireplace a workout. It is a really beautiful wood burning (can't find that too often) fireplace that added to the coziness of the home. The layout of the home is perfect for families. It has a great room that allows you to see everything going on which is very relaxing when travelling with a 3 and 4 year old. The kitchen has spacious countertops and top end appliances. The home has 3 - yes 3 - bathrooms that are all full bathrooms with showers or tub. The view from the house is outstanding. I will miss waking up to that view with my coffee. I would highly recommend. Sam - thank you for helping make this stay perfect!

This home is magical! The views are amazing and the beds are comfortable. Walking on the beach, kayaking and playing "name that critter in the sound" were just a few of our favorite things. I also had a couple questions for the host and he was super responsive. If this place is available for your dates, snatch it up!

What a beautiful location! The house was clean, cozy, with great furnishings. Cindy put a lot of care into the yard games and lake activities. Couches beds and recliner were all very comfortable. We loved our stay!

Relaxed and beautiful location for our family of 3 plus dog. The trek from the house to the beach was, fast and easy with the paddleboards - even the dog enjoyed being out on the water! Lots of room to hangout and have fun. The karaoke battle was pretty epic! Thanks Mike & Eva!

Ostrich Nest was a great getaway! Very peaceful and quiet. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need (even a knife sharpener in the kitchen) which is great since you’re on an island. Would highly recommend this rental if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway on the water.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at Sarah’s and really love her house. It’s within walking distance of a park and the store. And close to our favorite hikes. We played many games of corn hole and utilized the hot tub. The house is well stocked with plenty of plates, cutlery, towels, cozy blankets and more. I’m sure we’ll be back.

This was our family’s second time staying at this beautiful house! The house & landscaping is quite lovely!! The AC was not working & it was hot! Celia was very prompt in getting 2 portable air conditioners for the upstairs bedrooms. I would have liked a couple more bath towels & washcloths. Staying at this house has given us some fond memories!

I had a delightful stay at this cozy and charming Airbnb, which was ideal for my visit. I came to celebrate my nephew's graduation and took pleasure in the serene lake during our downtime. Shauna, the host, was exceptionally accommodating and made me feel comfortable whenever I had questions. The views of the mountain and lake were absolutely stunning. It was truly worth it! I wish I had booked additional days.

Rebecca’s cute water views home is charming with two wonderful bedrooms, one with a beautiful view of the water! The Airbnb is very comfortable and private. It was a treat to get to stay there! Alyshia has a wonderful home. It is well designed, clean, and bright. The furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked with what most travelers need. The home feels very private, yet it isn't far from services in Gig Harbor or the McCormick Woods park and dog park. I did not hear any traffic noise at night, but I enjoyed listening to an owl on two nights. I was there for two weeks and would be happy to stay longer next time. It was a little tricky to find the driveway, but once you know what to look for, it is very easy to find. We have stayed at many Airbnb's, and this one is really a gem. if you are looking for something in this area, I highly recommend it.

Beautiful location and amazing restoration of a cabin which was built in the 1920’s. My family owned this cabin for many years. Erika bought it from the people we sold it to in 2002. She brought our beloved cabin back to life. It was a surreal experience for me to returnto “ the cabin” 20 some years after we sold it. Everything was exactly like I remembered but far better. A beach place which everyone falls in love with as soon as they enter the front door. We hope to return to this little bit of heaven soon. Thank you Erika for sharing your cabin with us!!!

I visited the cottage to escape the city for a few days. This place is absolutely adorable— completely drenched in natural sunlight. It manages to maintain its historical charm while also feeling modern. I did some remote work during the visit & the WiFi worked perfectly— I could even get signal sitting outside. It was a little too chilly to take advantage of the water, but even just sitting outside on the floating dock or the balcony provided a lot of peace. This place is the perfect mixture of providing a secluded feel while still being just a short drive to grocery/ restaurants. I truly loved my stay here & am already trying to figure out when I might be back!

Cute lakeside cottage that has everything you need for a weekend getaway away from the city

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It is waterfront with a private dock. Wendy has furnished everything from inside the house to out. There is plenty of kitchenware for use. There are kayaks and lifevests at the pier for use as well. The lakeside view paired with the mountain that overlooks the lake is fantastic. There was plenty of fish in the lakes. I highly recommend this cabin if you enjoy hiking as it is very central to Mount Rainier NP, Snolquamie, Mount Baker, and Seattle area. I would definitely book this again.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect and the property was beautiful. Our host Fang was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the home was spotless and decorated beautifully We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the comfortable beds. We hiked Olympic National Park 2 days and enjoyed Gig Harbor another day. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again! Allyn is beautiful!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable little cabin on the water in Olympia, Washington. The home is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed—cozy, charming, and just the right amount of space for a relaxing getaway. All the amenities were provided, making it incredibly easy to settle in and feel at home. From the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedding, everything was just perfect. The location right on the water is stunning—peaceful, scenic, and a great place to unwind. I was also lucky to enjoy some truly beautiful weather during my stay, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home. Would definitely stay again!

If you want a location that gives you the sense of seclusion and provides you with great amenities to relax and unwind, then this is it. With two younger kids the bunk beds on the upper level were perfect and the king bed on the lower level was comfortable. The house was clean and had what you need to make for an easy stay. The hot tub was a hit, and the there are plenty of water craft options to enjoy the lake. Don’t hesitate to book this property!

It’s a must if you are looking for a peaceful family getaway! Our family really enjoyed the beautiful views, open windows, spacious patio, kayaks and wildlife. The property was very clean, with clear and detailed instructions. Definitely returning for a longer stay!

The house had everything we needed or could want! We definitely enjoyed the hot tub and massage chair after a long day of hiking. The house was nice and cool when we arrived after a hot day outside. David was very quick to respond to my questions, which was appreciated and he has put thought into the amenities available. Not much counter space in the kitchen, but enough to cook a meal. The upstairs is for the young and steady. My adult kids enjoyed the space, but it is an attic ladder (as advertised) so may not work for young kids or elderly. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area!

Annie's place was beautiful! We had a great time and would definitely go back. Everything was super clean and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to cook. The house was nicely updated and the views were incredible. It's about a 20 minute drive from town and no transportation on the island so I would definitely make sure you have a car if you visit. :)

Wonderful place, has to be the best one on the lake, unobstructed view of the lake and no zero houses on the opposite side, you literally looking at the forest after the lake ends from the patio. Great fishing spot too, we caught lots of trout and sunfish. Respectful neighbors around, was very quiet during our stay there. We’ve had an extremely relaxing time! Billie is a great host! It was definitely one of our top stays of all time!
