Our stay at Addie's cottage was delightful. The place was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary utensils. Both hot and cold water pressure was excellent, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere. The bedrooms were tidy and comfortable. Addie proved to be very responsive and helpful, enhancing our experience. However, we encountered a few minor issues: 1) We discovered and eliminated several small cockroaches in the kitchen, particularly around the garbage cabinet. 2) The dining chairs were deteriorating, leaving lots of tiny pieces on our clothing when we used them. 3) The non-functional hot tub was a surprise upon arrival. Although mentioned in the listing, we missed it and so suggest making it more prominent, perhaps in the title, as the photos and description led us to expect a working hot tub. This could also be Airbnb's fault, since I specifically selected the "hot tub" option during my search, clearly indicating a preference for a property with a working hot tub.

I can't thank Tracey enough when it came to booking her beautiful home. I made this booking last minute for family travelling last minute from the UK. Tracey answered all of my questions promptly and was more than accommodating. The family absolutely loved the house and some are planning to try and book in the future.

Tanya and Peter were great hosts. They answered any questions we had and responded quickly. The area was quiet and home was private, it's exactly what we were looking for. Port Hope and Cobourg are very close by if you want to get out for a few hours and eat at a restaurant, get groceries, walk the streets and shop their downtown areas or just want to view the towns old buildings. We also made use of the fire pit on site and enjoyed that with a cup of tea. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone that just needs a break.

This place is wonderful. It was very well appointed. The lake is private and peaceful. There are large windows in the house overlooking looking the lake and a huge comfortable couch. The hottub is amazing bonus. The bedrooms were clean and well-designed. We will certainly be back!

Miranda’s cottage was a great spot for our annual ATV trip. The cottage was very clean and as described. Having a sauna and the ability to swim in the lake was also nice. Look forward to returning to the cottage continuing.

I frequently stay at Airbnb’s and travel a lot. I would say this is the best host I’ve ever had. Super friendly, super nice, super knowledgeable of the area and gave great suggestions. The home was unique and very nice. I will definitely be going back next time I’m in the area.

The location is amazing, a short walk down the trail to the public beach was a great bonus. The lake is perfect for swimming! The place felt very homey, and the nostalgia of watching a movie on VHS is so much fun. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Really enjoyed our stay at this very clean, nicely furnished, well equipped and nicely located cottage. Loved reading and having a morning coffee on the dock. Nice quiet lake. Not too long a drive.

Minitha’s place was ideally located and easy to find! Minitha gave straight forward instructions on access as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with all types of tools and utensils, as well as cooking materials like oil, salt, pepper, the list goes on. Would stay again!

My favourite place to stay for work in the area. Always spotless and clean. David is a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a qauint centrally located place to stay in the Peterborough area, this is the place for you. Clean, everything was top-notch and Marlis was an excellent and thoughtful host.

Gwen and Ken were exceptionally friendly and welcoming to us during our stay. Its a lovely spot between the lake and forest where you can hear the sounds of nature and if your lucky, find some beavers.

Natalia and Evgeney were great hosts. They were both very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Check-in was flexible and easy thanks to Evgeney, who did a great job at setting us up with our cabin. The cabin itself was exactly as advertised. We found it to be very clean. The view of Rice Lake from our cabin was great, and the area is really peaceful and quiet. Overall, we had a great time here! It was a perfect relaxing weekend.

I came to this beautiful spot with my wife and five-year-old son in September. Our cottage was perfect for what we needed -- and we all appreciated the AC and hot shower! Our son had a blast playing on the playground, the beach, and activity room. He cried when it was time to leave! We all enjoyed the beautiful lake and the different water toys available, in particular the stand-up paddleboards. My wife and I had never used those before and had a ball! As huge Tragically Hip fans, we loved the various nods to the Hip on the property. Bobcaygeon itself is incredibly charming. We had a wonderful, relaxing time and it was terrific value for money. I'd recommend this to anyone and hope to return soon with some friends. Thanks for such a fantastic family experience!

Fantastic stay! Clean, beautiful views, hot tub was amazing and fishing off the dock was pretty good. NOTE: Proximity to road was a bit of a thing for the sound. That being said it didn't diminish our enjoyment of our stay. Thank you again!

Amazing accommodations, place was better than advertised. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of Lake Contau was very refreshing. Had all the amenities that were advertised, would recommend to anyone.

Had a great time with friends at Asanga’s place. It was clean, matched the description and Asanga was a very responsive host! Only minor thing was that the price of the hot tub was not included in the price I paid while booking even though it was listed as an amenity when we did so. Still worth 5 stars, but slightly misleading to have to learn I had to pay more later in order for us to use the listen amenity.

Alan & Rosalie’s cottage was everything we could have asked for and more ! It was a perfect place to just relax and recharge after a busy fall and Christmas season. We wanted for nothing, it had everything we needed. Alan met us when we arrived and explained where everything was and how it all worked. My wife and I and our two dogs had a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be doing a return visit. If you are looking for a place to getaway and relax this is the place, highly recommend it ! Thank you Alan & Rosalie !

Nice winter getaway! Close to the town and very peaceful. We enjoyed this cottage very much - it was exactly what we needed!

We absolutely loved staying at Patrick's Lake house. We were there for the long Easter weekend and to celebrate my daughter's birthday. A week before our trip one of my old dogs who is 16, who we planned on leaving behind with a family member had become very sick, but recovered and would not leave my side. At the last moment I messaged Patrick and asked if I could bring him with us as I didn't have the heart to leave him behind. I was moved by how compassionate and welcoming Patrick was to allow me to bring him along!! But let me also tell you how beautiful the cottage is, with the view of the lake and even though the lake was frozen it was spectacular! I can only imagine the summers! Patrick's place is meticulously clean and comfortable! Every single detail was thoughtfully provided, from utensils, pans and cutlery to extra heating, board games, videos, CDs...we were impressed. We sat on the deck, enjoyed the peace and quiet and star gazed all night! We're definitely going back!
