Vacation rentals with a kayak in Peterborough County

Our stay at Addie's cottage was delightful. The place was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary utensils. Both hot and cold water pressure was excellent, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere. The bedrooms were tidy and comfortable. Addie proved to be very responsive and helpful, enhancing our experience. However, we encountered a few minor issues: 1) We discovered and eliminated several small cockroaches in the kitchen, particularly around the garbage cabinet. 2) The dining chairs were deteriorating, leaving lots of tiny pieces on our clothing when we used them. 3) The non-functional hot tub was a surprise upon arrival. Although mentioned in the listing, we missed it and so suggest making it more prominent, perhaps in the title, as the photos and description led us to expect a working hot tub. This could also be Airbnb's fault, since I specifically selected the "hot tub" option during my search, clearly indicating a preference for a property with a working hot tub.

I booked Renee’s place last minute because another Airbnb cancelled. I’m so glad we did because this place was beautiful and we had such a wonderful time. Renee was incredibly responsive and kind in all her messages. We bought our two month old and a cot was provided which made our lives easier. The kitchen was also pretty well stoked and the beds were super comfy. I think this is an incredible stay considering how affordable it is. Renee truly saved our holiday. Thank you!

I can't thank Tracey enough when it came to booking her beautiful home. I made this booking last minute for family travelling last minute from the UK. Tracey answered all of my questions promptly and was more than accommodating. The family absolutely loved the house and some are planning to try and book in the future.

This was our family's second stay at the house. The cottage has everything you can ask for, all the amenities a beautiful waterfront and all comforts. Not to mention two saunas and a hot tub. Steve and Irena are great hosts and make us feel right at home every time we stay over. It's always a very enjoyable stay!

Our stay at Lisa’s place was wonderful despite the power outage towards the end of our trip due to bad weather. The house was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Lisa was incredibly helpful, kind, and considerate throughout our stay. She genuinely cares about her guests and went above and beyond to ensure we were okay. I can confidently say that she's one of the best host I've ever encountered. Overall, we had a great experience, and we highly recommend this place to anyone. I frequently stay at Airbnb’s and travel a lot. I would say this is the best host I’ve ever had. Super friendly, super nice, super knowledgeable of the area and gave great suggestions. The home was unique and very nice. I will definitely be going back next time I’m in the area.

We had a great time at this cottage. Not only was it a fantastic view outside but we were able to enjoy the waterfront view from inside as well. Absolutely stunning! Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts are very responsive as well.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rebecca's beautiful lakeside retreat! She is very understanding and felxible and responsive. Everything was clean at the place and thoughtfully prepared The canoes provided were perfect for peaceful paddles around the lake, and the cozy fireplace made evening so relaxing and special. If you're looking for a perfect escape surrounded by nature and tranquility, this is the place. I can't wait come back!

Me and my boyfriend had the most relaxing stay at Meghan’s cottage over the weekend. Everything that was mentioned is included and more! This place was perfect for the two of us but can accommodate a family of 6 comfortably. Just a heads up, there are quite a bit of steps from parking all the way to the cottage and going to the dock but it’s all worth it. We also watched the most beautiful sunset by the dock and my boyfriend caught quite a bit of fish. I personally enjoyed the kayak and the N64 bringing a vintage touch! We would 100% stay here again, but definitely for longer so we can enjoy all activities included in the cottage!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Vicki’s. There were plenty of things to do and enjoy - water activities such as kayaking, canoeing and swimming during the day plus roasting marshmallows at the fire pit while stargazing at night. Very clean and quiet property and a responsive host. Would love to come back.

we had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Daniella's place! The space was beautiful, clean, thoughtful and well stocked! the hosts thought of everything to make us feel at home. Everything is there with intention, and the location is unmatched...Photos don't do this little gem justice, will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd time at Sara & Matt's place, and needless to say we had a blast! It's the perfect spot for a fall getaway with all the changing colours. The cottage is super cozy and has so much authentic charm. The sauna was a totally highlight and it was super refreshing to hop in the lake after. We did some star gazing and even caught some of the Northern Lights one night. Other nights we spent enjoying the VHS and record collections at the cottage. Definitely recommend this place and we'll certainly be back!

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

Lori was a very responsive and accommodative host. The place was much larger than what the pictures shows. Lots to do on the water with kayaks and canoe that were provided.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The space itself was beautiful and very clean. All of the bedrooms/bunkies were cozy and comfortable. With the provided space heaters we had no issues at all keeping warm at night. And of course the view over the lake was so serene. Gary was also incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would love to come back!

We had a great time at Heather's place. The cottage was decorated beautifully. We love the hot tub and the backyard lighting around it. Everything was set up with a timer and it's pretty good for us to not have to worry about it. It's so good to have two firepits and the supplies to start the fire. The local convenient store is a short drive and has everything we need when we ran out of supplies. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea and all the snacks are nice treats. It is very cozy and the surrounding is gorgeous. The heater in the house can be quite annoying at night for someone staying on the daybed. We were warned about the noise in the instructions but couldn't do much about it or change the sleeping arrangement. The beds in all rooms are all very comfortable and if the heater issue can be somehow addressed, that would be much better. (the heater just turns on and off way too frequently) Overall, we had a great time! Heather and Michael are very friendly and responsive hosts. Thank you!

We stayed at Teresa’s place for 2 nights during the Christmas holidays with our family of 16. Check-in was very easy and smooth. The cottage itself is beautiful, peaceful and private. The views were spectacular. As for the host, she was prompt in her responses and resolved all of our issues with ease. She was understanding and very nice. The co-host, Frank, was also very helpful.

My partner and I had a wonderful long weekend at Krista's bunkie. It was so warm and cozy, a perfect place to hunker down over a snow stormy weekend. Krista was very friendly and responsive, she reached out a couple times throughout our stay to ensure all was well and to see if we needed anything. The bunkie is fully stocked with all the essentials you'd need(paper towels,Kleenex,salt,pepper,olive oil etc.)and is super homey. Overall, super peaceful and relaxing stay- Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at your beautiful cottage. The setting, surrounded by the tranquil lake, was truly magical — a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle. The cottage had every amenity one could possibly ask for. The attention to detail in the decor was exceptional — every corner seemed to hold a story, filled with charm, character, and warmth. We loved exploring all the thoughtful and unique touches added over the years; it really made the place feel sacred. Our host , Daniel, was very kind and patient . Cabin Bjorn was everything we expected - and more! Set on a beautiful property surrounded by tall trees and the Irondale River, it truly is a slice of paradise. We were so fortunate to spend four days here, relaxing and unwinding. Cassidy’s a fantastic host and we hope to be back this summer!
