1950's Romantic & Whimsical cottage on Gull River

My whimsical & quaint cottage is 5klm from town which hosts a Foodland, LCBO, Pub, ice cream window and Home Hardware. Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Indian Point Provincial Park are close as well. I love my cottage because of the gardens, the chandeliers, the purple doors and the glorious clean river! The cottage itself is 900sq.ft. of cuteness & the property is 100 x200sqft. Canoeing, kayaking, bbqing, swimming, snorkeling and river floating are daily activities.

Riverfront Lodging No cleaning fee !

A place to relax in winter in front of the gas stove with a beautiful view of the Otonabee River. In summer enjoy a swim or a paddle on on the river with one of our two kayaks. The kayaks are available between May 1st & October 1st as long as the river conditions are acceptable. Enjoy supper prepared using the fully equipped kitchen overlooking the river. A park like setting but only 5 minutes to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in downtown Peterborough.

2 bedroom cedar log cottage on over 300 beautiful acres. Very private. Many walking trails to explore and enjoy. Lovely deck on the cottage and a great dock at the lake. Canoe, pedal boat, and swimming raft. All just a 2 hour drive from Toronto. We have another property at the opposite end of the private lake - all of the same wonderful outdoor activities but this time based out of a stunning log house. Beautiful cottage with a spectacular view of the lake! Very quiet and peaceful for rest and relaxation. The fireplace made the cottage even more cozy on some very cold winter days during our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the entire cottage was well set up for a relaxing atmosphere. Everything was easy to find and anything you could possibly need was there. We loved that amenities like grocery stores and restaurants were close by and easily accessible.

Patti and Dennis were amazing ! There was a bad snow storm and they allowed us to stay an extra night, to hunker down through the storm to make sure we had everything we needed to stay comfortable and safe. So nice ! The suite was warm clean and had very comfortable beds. It was very quiet and peaceful. The view of stoney lake was beautiful. It was the perfect winter retreat/getaway . I highly recommend this Inn. Definitely a 5 star stay ! We are very happy and thankful to find this hidden gem 💎

My husband and I, along with our two adventurous pups, absolutely loved our cozy cottage escape in the Kawarthas! This place had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing retreat. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of privacy, even in a small neighborhood—those tall bushes really made it feel like our own little hideaway. Our dogs were in heaven, running around the beautifully manicured backyard with plenty of space to explore. Inside, the cottage was just as charming, with adorable, cozy bedrooms and a kitchen stocked with everything we needed, whether we were grilling outside or whipping up a delicious meal indoors. The kitchen appliances were spotless and felt brand new. And the view from the living room? Simply stunning! We spent countless hours just soaking in the beautiful lakeside scenery right from the comfort of the couch. Although we didn’t get as much fishing in as we’d hoped, we’re already planning our next trip back! Big thanks to Mel & Stu!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Vicki’s. There were plenty of things to do and enjoy - water activities such as kayaking, canoeing and swimming during the day plus roasting marshmallows at the fire pit while stargazing at night. Very clean and quiet property and a responsive host. Would love to come back.
