Vacation rentals in Pergusa Lake

My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful two nights in the countryside, with so much thought and care put into our stay from our hosts. Arriving after a long drive we where welcomed with cake, tea, eggs, treats, everything essential to a comfortable first night and morning. Our booking included an entertaining and fun evening cooking local dishes with Nino and Dina and we enjoyed a lovely night together round the table with amazing food and drinks and sharing stories. What a pleasure this was and a great start to our holiday and to Sicily! We know some of the prior reviews mention the neighbours dogs barking, this was the case on one of the nights and sorted out with some earplugs, so we would advise this. It did not spoil our stay at all and we left full of joy at having met such wonderful people and having had such a great time. Thank you to our hosts for looking after us so well and we would recommend you book this wonderful experience if you are in Sicily!

What can I say, I have personally traveled a lot in Italy and a little abroad, both alone and with my family, but I must say that the apartment is among the best I have ever seen... wonderful, impeccable, furnished down to the smallest details, abundant breakfast without limits. My kids were amazed by the wonderful rooms, modern and functional bathrooms. All rooms are very clean I'll just tell you that we wanted to eat out in the evening, but the kids insisted so much on eating at home because they felt like they were at home. We had the most amazing three days at Villa il Carubbo over Easter and we can’t wait to go back! Located higher up on the hill by the sea and surrounded by a beautiful garden with olive trees, the views from the patio as well the upstairs bedroom are simply breathtaking. The sound of the sea was very calming and the birds singing in the garden - the place was so lovely and quiet that we actually changed our plans and didn’t leave the house all weekend. The house is very tidy and clean, suitable also for a family. You do need a car, which we had rented anyway, and it’s best to do the grocery shopping before you get there. There’s a great big Lidl in Licata. I warmly recommend Angelo’s place (as well as the dinner cooked by his wife, absolutely delicious!) . In addition to a being a beautiful place and a cosy home, the host are wonderfully welcoming and helpful, such nice people. Grazie mille da tutto, spero che ci vediamo presto!

Thomas was a very warm and attentive host. We were greeted with a small welcome gift, which made the start of our stay particularly pleasant. His recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area were excellent. Thomas was always available at short notice for questions and very helpful. The house itself is modern and extensively equipped, plus the beautiful sea view. The location is ideal to explore the surrounding villages and beaches. The house has a small, very well-kept garden with fresh herbs and vegetables. Overall a fantastic stay, we can well imagine coming back in the future.

We didn't want to leave. It was fantastically beautiful and simply magnificent. Salvo is an incredibly lovely host. We felt at home through his warm and accommodating hospitality. Coffee, oil and more were already there for us. Everything was also lovingly ready in the bathroom. I am currently undergoing a heavy grief phase and am very grateful to Salvo for his endless helpfulness. We highly recommend this fantastic accommodation. A car is an advantage. By the way, this can also be safely stored on the property. We would come back any time. Thanks for everything 😀🙏

We had three very relaxing and beautiful days with Eleonora. The house and surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Eleonora is very warm and was an excellent host. You can tell how much she loves the farm and life in the countryside and how much joy it gives her to pass it on to the guests. Our highlight was the lovingly prepared surprises for breakfast and a very special dinner with products from the garden and the region, which Eleonora cooked for us. If you are looking for peace, relaxation and authentic Sicilian country life away from the tourist hotspots, you should definitely come here. Thank you for the great time!

The place is really amazing for those who love peace and quiet this is the right place. Everything is well maintained and beautiful. You are in the heart of a mansion. The apartment is well planned and there is no feeling that the apartment is small, what is more that if the weather is good you can take advantage of the beautiful yard and enjoy quietness and the birds. One thing to improve WiFi quality. Other than that everything is great

After a six day stay, we can't help but say that we had a fantastic stay. With Giuseppe as a host who came to bring delicious cannoli, really great. The stay was clean and fully furnished with all the necessary comforts. Drinks and pasta with sauce was ready for use. A real winner for the first night. Completed with fresh herbs from the terrace. With a view that looks like a postcard, every day is a dream. The beautiful garden has also been built with a lot of care. A stay with Giuseppe is highly recommended.

Just returned from a wonderful 11 days at the villa. The accommodation and grounds were more than enough room for all 9 of us (5 adults 4 children). The villa is super clean, nicely presented and situated in a beautiful rural location, which is very accessible from one of the main roads. We loved the large pool and there was plenty of room poolside for the kids to play football and have fun. It was also very safe for our adventurous two year old. Kathryn and her husband were first class hosts, providing us with useful information, sweet treats, and allowing us to pick fresh fruit from the farm. They were attentive to our every need. We also enjoyed using the barbecue, watching the sunset and having walks around the farm. Piazza Armerina is a nice, quiet little town. There are some good restaurants and people are very friendly. We also visited Taomirna, Enna and Caltagirone. It was a perfect getaway and we would definitely book again.
