What a lovely home! And so nicely decorated and well laid out. There was plenty of room for our group of hikers. The location was perfect due to its proximity to the Appalachian Trail. My sister does a lot of cooking and the kitchen had just about everything we needed. We felt so at home that we will try to stay again if we get around to finishing the southern part of Shenandoah NP. Of course, the MAIN thing anyone needs while on vacation is a good night's sleep. The beds were SO comfortable and we slept very well. The big backyard was also a bonus. Definitely a 5 star stay.

We truly enjoy our 2+ week stay in Linden! The house was perfect for our family - including 3 teenagers! They loved the basement game room giving us the extra space we needed to stretch out. The beds were super comfy. The neighbor hood is convenient to main highways making getting around a breeze. We loved sitting on the front deck drinking coffee and watching the deer. Our dogs Also approve! Thank you Robert for your hospitality!!

What a gem! Our family of 5 enjoyed everything about our stay at Hillside Hideaway. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere, very clean. We all enjoyed the hot tub each evening and lazing in the hammock for some down time between hiking and sightseeing. The kiddos loved the books, games, toys, and swing. Rhonda was a great host with easy communication and very clear instructions about the home. We wish we could've stayed longer!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the host had thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully organized - everything was labeled, making it incredibly easy to find what we needed. What sets this place apart is the attention to detail - from the well-appointed kitchen with various appliances to the overall peaceful atmosphere that envelops the property. It truly felt like a "home away from home" - but without any of the stress! The location in Wardensville offers beautiful surroundings, and the host was exceptional - responsive, thoughtful, and clearly committed to providing guests with a five-star experience. If you're looking for a getaway that combines comfort, convenience, and natural beauty, the Cottage at Lost River Ridge is an absolute gem.

Had a lovely weekend in VA at Dollys place, and at a really great price. The house was very charming, though very clearly older, but everything about it was within what I consider normal expectations with an older home out in this area. We really enjoyed spending time in the backyard, which was fenced in and had a charming fire pit and table. Our dogs and kids alike took advantage of the ample room for activities back there! Dolly and her husband were very responsive and easy to reach and talk to. Would recommend for a weekend getaway!

We’ve stayed in the pond house now twice and love it!! Grilling while looking down on pond is very relaxing! The house is great and the surroundings are amazing!!! Looking forward to another trip with my family!

An absolute gem of a place - modern comforts nestled away in a completely private setting. Close enough to towns for eats if you want and super close to Shenandoah NP for exploring/hikes yet far enough away from everyone to see the stars at night the way they should be seen. The cottage was super clean and very well set up offering everything you’d need to have a great rainy day if needed indoors. Will come back for sure as we missed a few trails and wineries. Must see the Grand Caverns and visit Lil’ Gus for a burger just a short ride South. We were very fortunate and stayed during the Elkton Spring Festival in town for small town carnival fun without the city shenanigans we get at home.

We loved this unique AirBnb! Incredible kitchen and everything you need to cook. Fly fishing out the door and good area for hiking. We would definitely come back!

Clean , quiet and antique furniture are lovely. We thought the kitchen area need more lights Also need more instructions should’ve placed on the kitchen counter like how to use garbage bin under sink etc. also we couldn’t find dish dry rack. Last 1mile was challenging to get the house but we did. Tks

We had a wonderful trip and great time. Enjoyed the cleanliness, backyard with fire pit and perfect location.

This home is perfectly situated away from it all, but close enough to activities that you can easily set out of multiple day trips. The Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah is only 20 minutes away and the town of Luray (and grocery stores and restaurants) is also about 20 minutes drive. The home itself is clean and feels private. Having separate temperature control in every bedroom was a huge bonus. Arrival procedure, check in and out, and the overall cleanliness of the home were great and really made this a wonderful vacation stay.

I stayed here with my 9 and 11 year old boys and they absolutely loved the kids bedroom upstairs and the loft. The house was exactly as pictured and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed here in order to visit Shenandoah and Luray and I also loved how close this house was to George Wash National Forest which is also very beautiful and on the drive to Luray. Kinga was an amazing host and super responsive the whole time. I would definitely stay here again. It was close enough to town to make a grocery run or go to a restaurant but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to unwind by the river. Thanks for an amazing week!

My fiancé, pup, and I booked this place for a relaxing valentine’s weekend getaway, and we got exactly that! The cottage was charming and such a peaceful oasis with the beautiful views and farm animals in clear sight. The hosts were kind enough to leave us farm fresh eggs, muffins, and valentine’s themed chocolates — all were delicious and well appreciated! Additionally, they were very responsive and extremely friendly :) My fiancé and I spent time cooking dinner together, I baked, and watercolored, it was a lovely time! I highly recommend this place and hope to be back!

We enjoyed staying at Taby's place, it was very cozy with everything we needed! Taby was quick to respond to any questions that we had, we would love to stay again if we're ever in Virginia.

This place was super cute and an easy drive to different places like Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns! Unfortunately some of the restaurants and distilleries recommend were closed while we were there but the house was great and Olivia was amazing!

Had an excellent stay at this Airbnb! The space was spotless, exactly as described, and the check-in process was a breeze. Communication with the host was smooth and helpful throughout, and the location was convenient and easy to find. This place offers fantastic value, especially with the added perks – a TV with Netflix, a strong hot and cold water supply, and a spacious backyard filled with fun games. The night sky was beautiful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for a memorable stay!

The location of this place was rural, that being said my whole family loved seeing a herd of deer at dusk every night crossing through the field. It had all the amenities needed. We appreciated all the kid amenities.

From the moment we walked through the door we felt like we were in a home away from home. The coziest welcoming enveloping us in and drawing us closer. The decor was beautiful, the design stunning, the paint. colors magical and it just felt so cozy. My three year old loved the swing in the room (such a novelty) and the kitchen was easy to cook in. We wanted to box the house up and take it with us. The beds were cozy and warm and we loved all the extra blankets (and heaters) during the cold season. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space.

We wanted a peaceful mountain get away, close to lots of hiking. We found it at Koren's place. It has all the amenities of a modern home - reliable wifi, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, deluxe hot tub, modern bathroom, comfortable screened-in porch. Could not have imagined a better place for our weekend get-away. Also, Koren was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Such a great quiet get away from the city. Just what my small family needed. 🙂

This is the second time visiting this cottage. Really liked the updated solar power system, as well as the AC unit. Absolutely love the quiet and private setting, with easy access to the Shenandoah River (right down the hill of the cottage). We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching cows as well the beautiful mountains views. The location was a quick 10 min drive to many local dinning and actives. The dogs loved the outdoor space to run around and spent hours swimming in the river. We hope to make it back to the cottage again in the future.
