Room 4 - The Paper House, Coniston

SimonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Judith's place for a week in June 2025. It's centrally located in Coniston and is a short walk from local pubs, restaurants and the Ruskin museum. The room itself was nicely decorated and clean. The ensuite bathroom had a great shower. Kitchen facilities are shared with one other room but there are separate fridges and cupboards (including crockery) for each room. All the other residents were polite and respectful of each other. Only issue we had was parking It's difficult to identify where the free parking areas are (Tiberthwaite Ave has no restrictions). There are local car parks but the cost is about £9 a day. The stay was great!!

Room Two Is A 2 minute walk from the Lake & Town.

Jane is a brilliant host, her place is very close to the bus stop, and you can basically travel by bus everywhere. She was super nice and kind to me, she took me out walking the next day (b/c she wasn’t busy), and we had the best time! The Lake District is an amazing place, I’ll definitely return for more walks and will gladly stay at Jane’s again. Thank you for making my trip extra memorable!

High Park - perfectly peaceful, magnificent views

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wendy and Tony were fantastic hosts, and they made us feel totally at home. The location is so special, right on the Cumbria Way. We are so grateful for all the extra help - notably a request for porridge for breakfast before a race I had, and helping me to dry out my shoes afterwards!

She went out of her way to make me feel welcome & at home. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely Dog Friendly Cottage

CharlotteRating, 5 stars10 months ago
It was perfect for our first family adventure to the Lake District with our first dog. The house had everything we needed. There were amazing walks straight from the door. Coniston water and lake Windermere were only a short drive away. The Co-op in Hawkshead was very convenient and had long opening hours. There were a couple of pubs and restaurants to choose to eat at, as well as the fish and chip shop or mobile curry take away van. Dogs were welcome everywhere!!

Old School House, Lake District, Hawkshead

BobRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great stay at The Old Schoolhouse. This was a family holiday with three generations of our lovely family. Emma's home was perfect, especially the five on Suite bathrooms (there were 10 in party and a dog). The highlight for our evening entertainment was the pool table which brought out our competitive element. The bbq also gave us another alternative for our evening meal, along with two village restaurants we visited and the fish and chip shop. All in all we had a fabulous time and can fully recommend The Old School House.
