Vacation rentals with lake access in Oud Ade

We had a great time at Richard's house! The location is excellent, nice and quiet and of course great for refreshing yourself with the lake. We rented the boat and also had a nice time on the water and the larger lake. The house has everything you need, air-conditioned rooms were perfect on the hot days. Sitting together on the terrace by the lake in the evening, great! You can't go wrong with the house and would book it again and again.

Michel was a wonderful host, always available and very nice and helpful. He is constantly striving to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We really liked the house with the layout of the garden by the water and the beautiful view from the living room and terrace. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a lot to explore in the area. Very nice location, very close to the city center. Important to note is that there is no parking space for the car. 500 meters away is a free parking space. We didn't think this was a problem. First drop off the luggage and then take the car to the parking lot, went well (one-way traffic). The cottage is modern and cozy and equipped with every comfort! Train station and bus stop are nearby to explore the further surroundings with public transportation. In the garden, there is a shed where you can store your own/rented bicycles. It is a quiet area and yet close to the city center! Wonderful place and definitely recommended.

The neighborhood is beautiful, the house is beautiful, clean, and very well equipped and decorated. The area is lovely to walk around and a short distance to the east there are a lot of restaurants, bars and bakeries and to the south one big mall with supermarket and shops. My only complaint is the staircase is too narrow, which makes it uncomfortable to go up and down with suitcases. But I recognize this is a Dutch thing and the majority of houses, new and old, have the same issue.

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived in a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was easy. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next fall. We had a really nice stay at Nicolette's place. Perfectly situated to visit the "Groene Hart" of the Netherlands or go to Gouda, Utrecht… by bike. The house is on the beautiful river Vecht and is in a very quiet environment. Nicolette is also a very friendly and flexible host

The house has a lot of space and is very well equipped. The parking and the possibility to park bicycles are great. The area is great to explore by bike. Sam's tips about the area are also great! Great for a stay near the sea - by bike it is 20 min to the beach.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly what we needed , clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. They really made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The accommodation was great – very central, and we could get everywhere easily by metro. We'd definitely stay here again!

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

Lovely stay at Rudis cottage.After two weeks travelling around Europe we wanted a couple of night to relax and this was the perfect place. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and Rudi even brought us a fan when the temps hit 31 and the place was so hot. We were lucky to have a storm and be able to watch out over the nature reserve was amazing. We also ate at De Heeren van Maarssen nearby and the food was beautiful.

What a beautiful and inviting lake home very close to Gouda and all local transportation. It was fast travel to Rotterdam and only an hour from Amsterdam / both were easy access through the local train station Gouda Gowervelle. We enjoyed all the running and biking paths along the lake and canals. Shopping and sightseeing in Gouda was fun as well! (Enjoyed the cheese museum which is perfect for kids of all ages. ) The lake house was a perfect setting, neighbors are friendly and quiet and the home is spacious enough for 4 or small families and it’s simply beautiful . Enjoyed!! Great hosts and very responsive! Highly recommend.

Beautiful house and perfect host!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Sincerely a top location, nice location, spacious garden, lots of sleeping places, nice kitchen, super cozy decor and top communication before and during the stay.

Such a lovely place to say in a peaceful, friendly village with swimming canal ,all within easy to navigate public transport to central Amsterdam. We had a fantastic time, our host Lonneke was helpful and very friendly. The cottage was very clean and as described. I would recommend staying here.

Angelique was a good and friendly host. She greeted us right on the street, so we didn't have to look any further for the accommodation. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. The location on the water is really good. You have your privacy here. We were also very pleased about the food provided. We had a very nice time.

It is a beautiful accommodation overlooking the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day overlooking the lake. If the weather cooperates, you can also swim there. Will definitely be back :)
