This is a beautiful and magical place to stay. The room is beautiful and has a comfortable bed. The dry, desert-like climate offers a silence, peace and freedom that are inherent to the energy of the landscape. The food is delicious and healthy, including with vegetables grown right there in the community. You will have the opportunity to learn about how to live more sustainably, including how to create closed-loop energy systems. Most of all, as a guest you will have the opportunity to be a part of an amazing community that seems to have a constant flow of fascinating and compassionate people from all over the world.

I can really recommend this place. Very very nice rooms. Lot of additional rooms to use like living room, Billard room, TV room and a nice Garden. Mario and His wife a very friendly and helpful. We used also his Airport pickup. Just great to stay there. I can only highly recommend this place to stay. Peter

Muy buena atención, el lugar es muy bonito y acogedor, céntrico. Lo único, relativamente molesto fue, tener que solicitarle que nos diera agua y que funcionara el agua caliente.

Ha sido un enorme placer ser los primeros huespedes de Anderson!! La casa es muy limpia e todo es nuevo, la habitación es grande y la cama muy comoda. Lo mejor ha sido conocer a Anderson, una persona super sociable y muy amable! No solo nos ayudó en todo, sino que también nos llevó y guió por Ibarra, las lagunas y los pueblos al rededor. Parecia como si ya nos conociamos desde siempre. Es una pena que por falta de tiempo, no pudimos quedarnos mas días pero recomandamo a todos lo que pasan por Ibarra de alojarse en el departamento de Anderson!! 1000% Recomandable! muchisimas gracias por todo!!

Un lugar cómodo, limpio, con lo esencial y una estancia agradable. Mariela fue una increíble anfitriona con un trato muy cordial y amistoso, ella me esperó en la puerta del alojamiento incluso cuando mi viaje se había retrasado, siempre atenta y predispuesta a ayudar, te hace sentir como en casa, se agradece muchísimo el desayuno incluído. Súper recomendado!

Our stay with Angelica and David was amazing. They are incredible hosts, who go above and beyond for you. They picked us up at the airport and also brought us to the bus station for our trip to Otavalo. They speak English, which really helped us. They were also very excited to share their culture with us, telling us about their favourite areas of Ecuador and about traditional foods. The accommodation was very clean and very spacious for our family of 4. There are 3 big bedrooms. Breakfast was also wonderful and plentiful. We can not say enough wonderful things about our stay. We highly recommend you stay in Carcelen with Angelica when you are in Quito.

We had an amazing experience staying at Patricia and Rumi's home. They welcomed us into their family, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us. During the meal Patricia would sit and talk with us. She was very patient with our limited Spanish. My daughter was interested in their farm and Patricia showed us the different crops they were growing, and we walked with her to being the cows to another pasture and saw the chickens with their eggs and the rabbits and guinea pigs. Patricia also helped organize a horse riding trip for my kids and I when we expressed interest. My husband was able to work remotely from their place and there were several coffee shops close by that he worked from as well. Feel so fortunate to have the experience of staying with an Ecuadorian family.

Casa de Campo was a fantastic stay for those looking to get away to somewhere quiet and connected with nature. Jeannie is a perfectionist, and it shows in her property. Everything was sparkling clean (by far the cleanest rooms I saw in my time traveling South America), the food was healthy, tasty and served with style, and the grounds are very well kept. The patio is beautiful, with hammocks, a table, and rocking chairs to relax and get out of the sun. Jeannie upgraded me to a better room than the one I booked for free, helped me book a day trip to nearby Cotocachi for shopping, and was helpful with anything else I needed. The horseback riding was a nice little activity to see more of the countryside, and it was nice taking morning walks around the nearby roads and lanes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place as a relaxing getaway, and would be very happy to return.

The place es truly beautiful and you feel that you are in the middle of the mountains, sorrounded by nature and wildlife. The whole stay is spotless, very comfortable and has every single thing that you might need. Eric gives a DELICIOUS breakfast with local fruits and home-made dishes. It's a truly wonderful place and I'm just exited to come back!
